I already got the project back. I got a 97. I'm not great at papers but the concept was fun so I got really into it.

I will write a short tut in my top post for anyone interested.

Way to go on your project! And thank you so much for posting the tute! Now if I can just convince the folks at school to leave some grass unmowed for a bit...
7652  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Jellyfish on: June 28, 2007 01:16:50 PM
Oh, my goodness! That jellyfish is amazing! I'll be teaching science at an elementary school next year (after 13 years with 7th & 8th graders), and I would LOVE to hang one of these in my room (until the fire department makes me take it down Wink ). If you do have time to post the tute, that'd be fantastic- thank you for offering to make one!

And, SpongeBob is my classroom mascot, so I absolutely love your party ideas! I want to copy the theme for my next birthday, but I think my friends' kids would be into more than my friends would be Wink
7653  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: variation on the wallets.. Too cute! IMG HVY on: June 28, 2007 09:17:08 AM
I really love this! I have some crochet cotton that I picked up at a thrift store (a bunch of it) and I think I could put it to good use with this project. I, too would love to see a tute when you have a chance. Thanks for offering to share one!
7654  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Owl Swap Round 4 Gallery! on: June 28, 2007 09:11:07 AM
Ezri_B- What an awesome package that you put together! I love the quilted potholder, the stamp is adorable, as is the embroidery on the dishtowel. And, I love how the owl wing is the cloure on the journal. Nicely done-Martyx9 was certainly lucky to have you as a partner!

Coool! Combining math and science (fiction, I guess) is awesome!

How does the squisher and squishing work? Do you hold the board with the rope and slide it along with your foot? How long did it take for you to get the technique down?

Thanks for sharing and I hope you got a decent grade on your paper!

neverseenblue- Your package is great! The embroidered owl is very cute, and it was so nice of Scatter Kincaid to include the pattern with coordinating owls! And, I love the stamped cards. What a great shade of blue!

indie-knitter- I love the quilted handbag- the flowers for eyes are great! And the crocheted coin purse is something Ive been wanting to make- I love the idea of embroidering something on it, too!

Do you know who made this fabric?  I'm on a mission to find it now haha.

I don't know where you live, but I bought this fabric (or something remarkably close- I can't find where I put it so I can't check) at JoAnn's.

kitschkween- the package that you sent to shoegirl is great! Everything is so cute and the blinged out calculator is fantastic!!
7659  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Professor Frink T-shirt on: June 27, 2007 03:30:35 PM
This is fantastic! And I love the circle-y pattern in the background! How did you get your circles to be so neat and even?

This is such a subtly cool (yet geeky) gift!
7660  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: My CuppyCakes! **Now with a tutorial!** (Pic Heavy!!) on: June 27, 2007 12:15:52 PM
Ha! I get it completely! I was thinking that you started at the bottom of the cupcake and worked your way up...silly me! No wonder I couldn't figure it out by looking at it Wink

Thank you so much for the tutorial!
