7631  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Eye Ball Door Knob Cover - With Pattern. on: August 21, 2007 08:27:43 PM
I am making one of these for the door of my classroom for Halloween. I hope it doesn't make anybody cry...I've never worked with elementary kids before so I'm a bit nervous about that... Wink
7632  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: sewing machine a-buzzin'!! (IMG HVY) on: August 21, 2007 07:08:05 PM
Wow! What awesome fabrics! And, I have to get my hands on that Halloween fabric. When I was a kid (over 25 years ago now Wink ), my mom had some carboard cutout Halloween decorations, and one of them was THAT EXACT CAT!!  Where did you get that fabric? I must have some...

I hope that someday I too can learn to knit...I have all the supplies, I just need to have someone teach me how Tongue

Even with someone (several someones, actually) teaching me, I just couldn't get the hang of it. I'll stick with crochet and admire the lovely things that others make, and hope that I'll get them in a swap someday Wink

I love the seasons bracelet! I don't usually wear bracelets, but I could make a necklace like this. Thanks for sharing!

kishcrafts and Homerof2- Those are some mighty cute little elephants! Again, I wish I could get the hang of knitting. Nicely done kyou and TreeTree! And Cordelia's name is so clever!
7636  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Disposable Camera Swap! (sign-ups CLOSED Send-outs August 31st) on: August 21, 2007 03:21:02 PM
I'm working on my frame right now (well, technically I'm waiting for part of it to dry before I go on to the next step Wink ). I think I should be able to send tomorrow or Thursday. It depends on how quickly the last part dries.

CraftADDchick...NO WORRIES if you're a little late.  I KNOW you have school coming up and Kimi would love to help if she could.  So her sticking around a bit is FINE!!!

Gizmonic...GREAT pic of you and LUCY!  A hint to where it is.

Thanks, Kiki! I'm supposed to be setting up my room right now, but I'm still at home waiting for the laundry to finish. Such a procrastinator. Fortunately, working on the scrapbook is one of the things I will be doing while I'm putting off my stuff for school Wink

Looks like the consensus is cd/dvd scrapbooks.  That's probably what I will do, too.  I've a ton o'pix and it's not possible to cram 'em all crafty-like in a scrapbook.

Some souvenirs and a few assorted goodies will be included, too.

wait...what?  i have already started my crafty scrapbook......everyone is just putting pictures on a cd now?!

I haven't started, but I'm doing an "old fashioned" scrapbook, too. I collected brochures and stuff along the way, and I think they'd look the best in a regular scrapbook. I am putting my "extra" pics on a CD, though.
7639  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Christmas Ornament swap (CLOSED; MAIL BY 9/13) on: August 20, 2007 07:10:42 PM
Does anyone know...when sending out of the country, is it okay to put ground cinnamon in the ornament?

fizzgiggly- I love that fabric! Nicely done!

I will have to keep my eyes peeled for cool fabrics to make some of these bags. I have some fabric already, but I've seen so many cool prints on here that I just may need to go searching for some more.
