Thanks for the fabric info, cheebs! Ill have to look for it the next time Im at JoAnns.

That bioluminescent t-shirt is fan-freakin-tastic! I forgot that they made glow-in-the-dark fabric paint- absolutely added to my list of things I must have! The scarf is so pretty and I really like the shadow box. I love curiosity cabinets, but dont have enough things for a good one- I could use this idea to make a small scale one!

The bag of knowledge is great! And, if you took it to class during a test, you could use it as a cheat sheet Grin The clock is so math-geeky, I love it (even though I am not math geeky enough to know what it all means Wink ). And, holy crap, its the MC Escher mobius strip! I didnt realize until I saw the close-up of the ants- fantastic!

Love the fertilization magnets!! And, the notecards are so neat! Definitely ripping apart some old college textbooks soon And, the giraffe bag= love! And, youve reminded me that I really need to make a purse organizer for myself Wink

Those domino pendants are awesome! How did you get the image to wrap around the edge? Did you stamp on paper first, or (carefully) rock the stamp (which I hope isnt how you did it, because I mess that up for sure Wink )? And, somewhere, I have those glow-in-the-dark things. Now, Ill have to find them to make a mobile of my own! But, my favorite thing is the sea slug- is that your own pattern? I love the yarns you chose, too! I need one

Thanks for posting the link to the instructions! I'm going to be playing around with this soon...

Thanks for inspiring me!
7494  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ MAY on: May 17, 2008 08:10:08 AM
I'm falling behind on this month, too. I have a couple of things to work on before I can do last year's May square (but, that one, once I get started, should come together quickly). Then I can tackle this one. I still have a couple of weeks left in the month, so I'm not officially behind, but I'd better get crackin'!

Love the little action figures! Very cool looking beads and buttons, too. I love the bracelet and earring set you made- I never think to make bracelets with more than one strand, but this one could make me re-think that.

My intital reaction was, "Oh noooooo!" (said in my best Mr. Bill voice). But, after reading the Q & A, I'm pretty excited about it. Maybe still a teeny bit worried, but that's only because I need time to get used to changes Wink

Congratulations Leah on such an amazing accomplishment! And, I too look forward to seeing more of "Leah (crafter)" around here!

And, thanks so much to you and all of the super mods for taking such good care of Craftster and all of its Craftsters for so long. This is, hands down, my favorite site on the web and I can't wait to see what new surprises you have in store for us!
7497  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Chocolate Balls (heh!)--With How-To! on: May 14, 2008 07:09:50 PM
The only problem ive had is when i tried to dip the balls in white chocolate. No matter how carefull I am, little tiny flecks of oreo get into the white chocolate and ruin its pristine white-ness, and it just ends up looking dirty...

any suggestions?

I haven't made these yet, but maybe you could put the balls on wax paper and drizzle the chocolate over them with a spoon. Chill them, then turn them over and do the last bit...extra work, but might be more asthetically pleasing Wink

I love the bacteriophage painting! Such a cool looking bundle of DNA wrapped in a protein coat Wink And, the DNA embroidery looks great on the bag. And, I'm starting to look at my old textbooks with visions of scissors and Mod Podge!

Thanks for posting close-ups of the dishcloths! I love them even more!

Yup - 2 L soda bottle!  Drove my poor hubby nuts.  "How did she get that all in there?"

He thought it was just one more bizarre Craftster thing he would never understand  Wink

I was just about to ask the same question! Impressive bottle stuffing!

I absolutely love your pendant, and the technique is so cool! I can do it without buying any fancy equipment!

How much more do you have to turn up the oven in order for them to fuse?

I am totally making some of these as gifts. This rocks!
