Thank you so much for starting this! And, a double thank you for posting links to tutorials!!
I had bought the Stitch N' Bitch book for the needle roll pattern because I had planned to make one for my SIL for Christmas. Then, I was going to give her the needle roll and the book. But, when I saw her knitting this weekend, she was using circular needles, and I didn't think to ask if she used straight needles. So, since I know she uses circulars, I'm going to make her one of those instead. So, in the next couple of weeks, I'll be posting a completed needle roll!
And, all of the ones that you folks have completed so far are lovely and inspiring! Maybe when I'm done with my SIL's, I'll make myself a crochet hook roll...much needed it is!
Whoo-hoo! Thanks so much for the pattern! Now, instead of making my sister-in-law a needle roll (since I'm not sure if she uses straight needles or circulars), I think I'm going to make her this scarf instead. Thanks again!
Even better, Celosia is also known as Cock's Comb. I used a dark burgundy variety of it in my wedding flowers (alongside orange circus roses and pink dahlias). It looked awesome (I'll dig up some pictures), but got quite a few raised eyebrows when people asked what it was and I cheerfully chirped, "Cock's Comb!"
Ooooh! I bet it looked beautiful! And, thanks for the common name info. I'll have to look it up to see if I can grow it around here (central MA).
And, I love looking at all of these beautiful photos!! Makes me long for spring...
Oh my goodness! You guys have been so busy! I love all of the recent Poppet additions. Love the boy, Le Tigre, the undies, the boots, the sandals, the hair choices...everything!!
I'm totally supposed to be working on a swap right now, but I had other details to attend to, so I'll be working for the next 3 nights on my swap. Then, this weekend, I might have some time to start my Poppet!
