7351  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: I <3 Tea/Coffee/Cocoa Swap Round 4 Gallery on: June 01, 2007 02:15:25 PM
Wow! Miss a day or two and miss a lot!

hardyswanton01- I so want that bag! My friend's brother used to work for a coffee roasting company. I wonder if he still has preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'connections...hmmm...must') investigate this...

bekahzz- What an awesome package! I love the fabric on the wristlet, the magnets are great, the drawing is wonderful, the caffeine shirt is funny and the cappuccino cozy is fantastic!

ViolinRomance- I'm jealous about the Butterfinger cocoa that you also got. I have to look for this in the stores. The amigurumi are adorable (I think I have those patterns- I need to make some!). The tea mixes sound yummy and the cup cozy is such a good idea!

Fluxity- I love the giraffe canisters and those mugs are the perfect mugs for holding with both hands while sitting curled up on the couch!

smashergirl- The monster cup cozy is a riot! The tea bag stuffie is pretty cute, too. And the dragon tea pot is very cool!

thewench- I love the knitted dishcloth! It's subtle, which makes it that much cooler!

bethiej78- The coffee sleeves are great, and I can't wait to see what you make with your coffee themed fabrics! And PS: I like the photo collage- how do you do that?

7352  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Candied Citrus Peel - Recipe/tutorial included on: May 31, 2007 05:58:31 PM
Mmmm...lime...I might have to buy a few limes and give this a go. I don't usually have good luck when it comes to making candy of any kind, but this sounds too good to resist. And, the added bonus of lime juice in the freezer and lime flavored syrup just seems too tasty to pass up...

This summer, when I have time...definitely!
7353  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Easy crochet - bottle carrier on: May 31, 2007 03:03:41 PM
that is super cute! Did you start from the bottom or top? My mom so needs one since she is always letting her water bottle roll around in the car.
I love the colors and the slight frill around the edge. Smiley

I agree! And, I'd like to make one for my mom, too. And one for me, but a bit bigger to fit a Nalgene bottle- I have a carrier, but it is pretty bulky, so this might work better!

And, MissMinoes, the pattern looks like it is pretty easy, so if you went with a photo tute, that would probably be clear enough!

Hmmmm...Do we have a swap gallery yet? I checked back a few pages and didn't see one. Maybe I should get one started so pandorascraftbox has a place to post?

7357  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: The Great Gonzo on: May 29, 2007 04:25:43 PM
Fantastic! I love Gonzo (and all of the Muppets!) and I love that you included one of his beloved chickens Wink And you gave her such an adoring look, too  Cheesy

Well, my partner recieved a couple of weeks ago, but hasn't had a chance to post pics yet. So I hope she doesn't mind if I post a few. I don't have a group shot of what I sent, so I have to post a bunch of pics...

She is a Dragon, so...

A set of dragon note cards (the paper is black but it doesn't look too black in the pic!):

A lined zipper pouch with characters for dragon and a dragon image:

A small drawstring pouch with a dragon on it:

Inside the pouch, I put a pair of earrings and a necklace that I made with cool dragon charms and a very neat dragon pendant:

I also made a some felt fortune cookies and a bookmark out of ribbon and some charms. I sent along a pair of paper lanterns and a "Make Your Own Dragon" kit (with dragons I found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=167580.0).

I had a blast putting this all together!

Hey There all you Owl Swappers!

AmaZing is off on holiday, so I'll be tracking who has sent/received, so please PM me when you do either.

I can't update the list on the first page of this thread, but I'll be sure to send you a confirming PM once I've received your info. When AmaZing gets back, I'll send her the info and she can update the list.

But, to keep things straight even after she is back, continue to send the PMs to me! Thanks a bunch!

7360  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: 3 1/2 dozen jars! on: May 28, 2007 07:10:41 AM
Wow! Nicely done!

I'd been collecting some fabrics to make a bug jar quilt, but it kind of fell by the wayside. This makes me want to start the prowl for more fabulous buggy (and other critters) fabric!

And I love the fabric you used for the lids to the jars!
