YES! I made it! Now, to start thinking about what ornaments I'd like to make...I may have to rummage through my ornament collection for some inspiration...

7353  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Problem solved..Wine bag !!!!! on: August 11, 2007 07:53:54 PM
I'm not a wine drinker either, but I've been told it's very good. On a trip last year to California, we drove through wine country and passed by the Charles Shaw vineyard. Didn't make the connection that it was the same wine until I got home Wink
7354  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - AUGUST on: August 11, 2007 05:16:04 PM
Here is the December Easy square (yay, I'm only 8 months behind, now!), which I worked on for the duration of a lengthy ride back from DC. It was a nice easy pattern to work on, because I didn't have to do any counting!

The color is actually a nice light blue, but it doesn't look too nice in the picture...
7355  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: DIY KIT Round 9 on: August 11, 2007 05:11:29 PM
Instead of making handbags for a craft fair next weekend, I decided that I needed to finally play with my kits. First up- DIY Lunchbag! I modified the directions a bit, because I wanted to line it with some fused plastic bags. And then I attempted to add a gusset at the bottom. But, because I added the lining, I didn't think it would work well with a drawstring, so I made some braided handles out of some cotton cording I had lying around, and added a velcro closure. I think it came out good enough to give as a gift to my sister-in-law for her birthday next month!

And, since I still don't feel like sewing any handbags, I think I'll go and make some soap!

Yay! Al got to see the Space Needle! And the picture of him in the alien is a riot!! Somehow, on my trips to Seattle, I missed the Science Fiction Museum. I'll have to catch it sometime!
7357  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Owl Swap Round 4 Gallery! on: August 11, 2007 03:42:36 PM
BrushfireFaeries- Great stuff you got there! The stuffies are adorable (makes me wish I could knit), and the fabric on the wallet is awesome! I just could not find any cool (or even un-cool) owl fabric anywhere (where did you find it ambraqi?). And, I love the owl cable.

This is so cute! Makes me want to make a whole invading army (friendly of course) of aliens! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us!
7359  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along *37 more added!* on: August 11, 2007 11:24:40 AM
Oh my goodness! I just saved (as PDF files) all of the patterns that you have listed. There were only 2 that I couldn't open (Basket Weave # 2 and Bauhaus...near the bottom of the list).

WitchCatXeen- You are amazing for finding all of these patterns!!! Thank you so much!

I've printed off the Almond Back Loop Stitch as my first pattern...we'll se how it goes...because I should be doing about 100 other things right now Wink

I think that your descriptions are very clear! I just shouldn't have read them when I was so tired! Grin
