7351  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: The Long Awaited Poppet-Along on: November 08, 2007 04:03:33 PM
Thanks! Joanne's has a 10% off your entire order coupon for this weekend, and when I was buying fabric (already on sale), I "shopped" for everything else I wanted to get. Now I'll add the doll sculpting needles and  buttons. There is a curtain/home dec store around the corner, but I don't know if they do upholstery. I'll have to take a stroll down there...

I was in Joanne's last night and the Alova suede was on sale for $2.99 a yard...so I bought 4 yards.

I can't wait to start making one of these! I'm just worried about the face...I don't have the skill to paint a decent one, and I'm just re-learning embroidery. Any suggestions?

Also, where can I find a doll-making needle?

So, who will be the first to make a batch of nesting buckets? Wink

Oh, man! I want to drop everything I am doing tonight and pick up the gauntlet that you have just thrown down...but alas, duty must prevail...

Cool mug- the spoon is great, and I love the pattern! The mug cozy is also  very nice. And, you got a great variety of treats!

And Zelda.Suicide, I see that, in addition to crochet, you are a "sewing machine" too! Smiley

I am a craft junkie, seriously, I can't just stick to one craft, I have to try them all.

Me too (I'm craftADDchick for a reason Wink Problem is, I don't have enough time to make everything I want to make!

But, I definitely need to dig out my fabric for these bags and whip up a few in the next week! I need to give the gift next weekend!

7357  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Button Bracelets on: November 07, 2007 06:55:10 PM
I am not really into buttons, but I really like these bracelets! I have a couple of packages of buttons that I picked up for a project, and I didn't end up using them for anything. Now, I have the ideal project!

Thanks for sharing (and inspiring!) Wink
7358  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Knit DNA! on: November 07, 2007 06:52:50 PM
*Big sigh* I so wish that I could get the hang of knitting. I just love this! Maybe I can drop a hint to my sister-in-law and she can knit one for me...someday...

I'm still stuck with my last item. Of course, I haven't had time to do it, but I will on Saturday night, maybe. Definitely Sunday and Monday. Then, if I can find my battery charger for my camera, I can document, wrap and send!

I bought some fabric for these as soon as this tutorial was posted. Alas, I have not had a chance to make any. But, I just remembered that I need to make a birthday present for a friend. I think that she would love a set of these!
