Yay! Thanks for the recipe! And, I also laughed out loud at Kosher hot dogs being wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese.

yep, the ch3 are there. I even thought it was the ch3 the problem, that I somehow did the chains too big and they lifted everything up, but tried using a ch2 instead and the same problem was there

I have a closeup, please excuse the bad light  Embarrassed

now I am thinking I may be doing something back when waving in the changes of colors, because I do it as I go, but I can't think what it may be.

oh! and I'm not a beginner, but neither an expert! nobody I know here crochets, so I learn from errors and from the internet...  Tongue

Hmmm...I'm not an expert either, but I've progressed beyond beginner, too Wink

It does seem like the problem is happening when you do your color change. How do you change colors? I know you're supposed to do it before you finish the last stitch of the previous color, but I don't know if it is the same when working in rounds...

Since all of us here are "friends of craftster"s I would just like to ask why some people don't fill out their fav projects made by them and by other people. There are a lot of people with like 5 million posts *exaggerating* and so they obviously spend tons of time on here and are addicted like me  Wink So why not add some things to your fav list. I mean if you are browsing and see something you like all you do is click the camera next to it and select that it is either something you made or something someone else made. And they are great ways to find something you like quick if you want to refer back to it or show someone. Or if you are in a swap and other people joining are trying to see what their potential partners have made for them to quickly see at least 12 things you've made that you are proud of.

It's waaaay too hard for me to pick 12 things that others have made (I wish I could make my bookmarks public!). I never thought about picking out 12 things I've made...
Wink

I love the hand-carved stamps (in fact, the penguin and robot original posts are bookmarked!)!  I also love the knit dishcloths. They are so much better than a sponge! And, I crochet, but if I win that handspun yarn, it's going to my knitter SIL, along with a skein of hand-dyed wool (once I get around to figuring that out) and a copy of the book One Skein. And, if I'm lucky, maybe she'll knit something for me out of it Wink

Ha! Based on your work that I've seen, dragonslair, I wouldn't worry about that! You make great stuff!

Hunter S. Thompson wrote Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. He used a lot of psychedelic drugs, too! Johnny Depp played him in the movie of the same name. To be honest, I tried to watch it and couldn't get through it. I haven't read anything by him, either. But he certainly was a distinctive character...

That chain 3 at the beginning of each round is what I was thinking of. If you left it out, you'd have a dip in your round because you didn't bring it up to the proper height with the chains.

But it isn't something you're likely to leave out...you're not a beginner. So I'm as stumped as you are!

Do you have a close-up shot of one of the squares?

Man, those look good! They'd have to be reserved for special occasions though... 'cause I'd eat them all the time otherwise!

i feel so out of the loop.. Sad
Other than Stephen King I have no idea what you guys are talking about lol

I felt that way a bit in the Reading Rainbow swap. There were so many authors in the discussion that I had  never heard of! But then, I added several of them to a list of "library books" and I've gotten hooked on one of them.

That's the cool thing about swaps like this- you get to learn about new authors!

Did you leave out a set of chains in one of the first rounds? To bring it up to the level of the next round? That's the only thing I can think of that would cause that problem. And then, once you missed it in the early round, the difference gets carried through on each round following. But it seems strange that you would miss it on every square!
