7291  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Owl Swap Round 4. Signups April 12-May 2nd. Send-outs June 2nd! SIGN_UPS CLOSED! on: May 06, 2007 11:57:42 AM
That's a good idea! Too bad I didn't save a copy of my info. Cheesy  I'm sure we'll get info soon- there are a large number of folks signed up, so AmaZing is probably being extra careful to send the right info to the right people (or maybe her internet went out again!).
7292  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: DIY kit swap 8 on: May 06, 2007 11:54:47 AM
Wow! I wish I had gotten in on this swap. Everyone is getting such neat kits!

Craftydeb, I think you sent a great kit, especially with the thoughtful details like the geisha! And, cutting out the pieces is a major bonus! That makes it even easier to do!
7293  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: 3 simple cards on: May 06, 2007 07:27:49 AM
These are so pretty! But they would be way more than "simple" for me   ; I'll have to use them as inspiration!

These are neat! How big are they? Did you just use full size index cards (so the size is 3 X 5) or did you cut them down? And do you have a group of pages separated by the colored dividers, or does each page have to be separated for some reason?

And what's a Chicago screw (and where do I find one?)

These would make great little stocking stuffers (always thinking ahead  Wink )!

Thanks for being so flexible!
7296  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: R2D2 on: May 04, 2007 08:23:26 PM
Thanks for the info on the Glitterspun. I'm still pretty new at crcohet myseld (not counting the 30 years between the time I first learned and the time I re-learned), so I'll take any advice  Wink

Postponing a bit more would be awesome for me, but if that doesn't work for everyone else, I'm sure I can work it in...

While I didn't recognize the movie at first (not due to your workmanship, though Wink ), I love your bag. Especially the lightning! Fantastic!

And subtle is definitely the word, which makes it that much cooler!
7299  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 12" Crochet Square of the Month Craftalong - MAY on: May 04, 2007 02:19:01 PM
craftADDchick- maybe we can 'goal' together ( since we both just started) and motivated each other to get caught up by july, whatya think?? and dont feel bad/shy about not knowing a lot about yarn, everyone is super nice and will always help out!
p.s.- i reallllyy like your intense enthusiastic-ness!!!! its motivating as well!!!!
MEshelltakeone- Sounds like a plan! I can't start for another week (after Mother's Day), but then I should be good to go! This is actually motivating me to make sure that I get everything else finished. The bag of new yarn is taunting me Wink I might actually be able to start the October easy square next week if I plan right...
7300  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: "___" In A Box Swap Round 3 Gallery on: May 04, 2007 02:12:51 PM
I just love the variety in all of these boxes. This has been so much fun!

IMIS- I really like your Retro box. The decorated box is fantastic! I wouldn't have A) had the patience to make that and B) had all of the cool images! And I love the spiral tie-dye tee! Every time I try to make a spiral, it never comes out so clean looking.

marabu- I love the theme of your box, and I'll bet those recipes are yummy! I adore the matching apron and hot mitts- something every kitchen should have (even if you don't cook much!).

ruby_soho- Your housewife doll is amazing. Does she look like you?  Wink And, I chuckled when I read that you got pearls- my great-aunt was one of those housewives who did the vacuuming in dress, aprons, nylons and pearls!

mclianne- I love your bag and matching pouches. The fabric is so cheerful!

danaisradxcore- Excellent haul of dino goodies. The bag is great! I love the contrast between the "serious" houndstooth check and the vibrant, playful dino fabric!

modernjanis- Addicted to beading! Looking forward to seeing the results of your new habit! That elephant is cool- can't wait to see what it becomes a part of...

LUBEE- What a cute box! I just loved how the yarn was all wrapped up like cupcakes! And the t-shirt was pretty funny!

Phizzychick- I am so glad that your box arrived safely and that you liked it. Who says bugs can't be fun?  Wink
