Wow cute_anarchy! I love the hardware owl! If I had a wist, itd be on it! And Scatter Kincaid, I love your pouch, stationery and owl stickers. The owls on the bobby pins are way cute!
7292  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: DIY KIT Round 9 on: July 02, 2007 09:26:27 AM
I thought that I'd have my kits sent by now, but in the form of a true procrastinator, I'm just getting to them now! Actually, I've been trying to get stuff done for my first craft fair on Saturday, and it has been pushing everything else down the list.

I have one kit just about finished- I need to pick up one tiny supply item that I thought I had and I need to print out the instructions.

I have one kit almost finished, I just need to do some tweaking to the instructions.

I have one kit partly finished- the instructions are typed out, but I need to make the sample and photograph it as I go, then add the photos to the instructions. I have most of the supplies ready to go, but a couple will be added as I make the sample. I think I'll be sneaking in some time tonight to work on this kit.

I hope to have all of my kits ready for the mail by tomorrow night so I can drop them in the mail on Thursday. Keeping my fingers crossed...because I do have 2 dozen purses to make by Friday... Wink

Thanks! I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for those the next time I pop in (which will probably be tomorrow!).
7294  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Floral Bag Swap (Sign-Ups Close at 3:00pm ET on 7/1 ** Send-Out 7/27) on: July 01, 2007 11:37:06 AM
I want to sign up for this, but one of my past swaps hasn't had feedback posted, so I'm full up right now. I just PM'd a swap mod in the hopes that I can get my feedback updated in time...

I've had this jig for a while but haven't used it yet. This necklace is inspiring and I think I may be digging out the jig and some beads pretty soon! I love the leaf beads you used. Where did you find them?
7296  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crocheted Checker Board Set (lotsa pics) on: June 29, 2007 02:57:45 PM
Thanks for the added info! Red Heart would make this a much less expensive project, and it is readily available Wink

I had saved this pattern a while back, but haven't made it yet. Did you felt it? What kind of yarn did you use? And how big is everything? I like the look of yours!

Hey kikigirl! Kimi Darebear is so cute! I love her little eye mask! I hope she enjoys her adventures!

This is Al, on his way...

He is carrying his ever-present messenger bag, which contains a slightly scorched star chart and some parts from his ship.

His journey across the country should be cake compared to his journey across the galaxy! Al crash-landed in my back yard, taking out a section of the stone wall. I heard the crash and saw a flash (hence the scorched star chart and parts of his ship...sadly, all that remains), and found Al when I went out to investigate!

Here's the smashed wall...Al is lucky that he survived! The postal service should be cake after that!

He's certainly looking forward to many adventures!

I already got the project back. I got a 97. I'm not great at papers but the concept was fun so I got really into it.

I will write a short tut in my top post for anyone interested.

Way to go on your project! And thank you so much for posting the tute! Now if I can just convince the folks at school to leave some grass unmowed for a bit...
