7291  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along on: March 17, 2008 04:06:06 PM
Dragon*Fly, your dishcloths came out great! I like the Twists yarn you used, too. I haven't seen that color yet. I also like how the pattern came out with the Landscape yarn- kind of looks like part of a DNA strand Wink

I was able to work on one yesterday (Bark Sedge) while waiting for perpetually late friends. I was prepared, so I sat in in the car in the parking lot of a restaurant and crocheted until they arrived. And, I should be able to do some more tomorrow- I have a meeting that ends at 2:30 and then I have to tutor at 4:00. So, I have a chunk of time to...sit in the car in the parking lot and crochet!

I'm so glad that more folks have joined in! But, I still might get left in the dust Wink

I love the DNA bag! It's beautifully subtle- it's totally geeky, but only to those in the know, and it is so pretty! The needle roll is also fabulous! The package was definitely worth the wait!

Thanks! The pattern is just great! And, I love how they each have little personalities when their eyes and nose/mouth get added, and then even more personality when the ears get stitched on. It's almost a shame to knock them over Wink

yelley and grandkis, you've posted some nice squares! yelley, those colors look really nice together, and grandkis, I like that filler square!

inkberry, that cloth looks great! I haven't tried the Bark Sedge, yet. I think I'll have to make that one #6. I love the look of the Summer Splash, but I don't think I have any. I'll have to dig through my rather large pile of Sugar n' Cream...
7296  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Anyone else stamp onto photos? on: March 15, 2008 06:30:11 PM
I'm going to have to search through my huge box of photos to see if I have anything that I could use so I can try this. Or, even simpler, I may just tote the camera around and snap pics of suitable images.

I love this idea!

These are so cute and you've captured the expressions on your little bunnies perfectly! And, I love how you used the pattern from the fabric for their ears on the stamp as well. Excellent!
7298  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: ****NOW WITH TUTORIAL**** red eyed tree frog on: March 15, 2008 11:45:55 AM
And, I made another one! But, I also gave this one away, so I still need to make one for myself! I modified the toes a bit so I wouldn't have to join all of the suckers as separate  pieces and it looks okay. It does look better the way wibit wrote the pattern, but I was short on time so I cheated a bit.

Here he is sitting on the kitchen chair. The wood reminded him of a tree...

Thanks again, wibit, for sharing such a great little pattern! I love it!

I finished #5! Whoo-hoo! Yes, I'm moving at a record pace...one dishcloth every three months...

I realize that I have been left in the dust...but I'm okay with that Wink

This is the Easy dishcloth (http://www.crochetnmore.com/easydishcloth.htm), and I made it in Sugar n Cream Twists yarn (the green version...I don't have it handy and I can't recall the name), which I really like.

I didn't do the best job on the edging, but since this one is for me, it's good enough for my dishes!

I had the chance to test this pattern for mamaedgar, and it is such a fun and easy pattern! I made this set (I used autumn colored yarn instead of spring colors since I had them on hand) pretty quickly. I got quite a chuckle out of knocking the bunnies over and, since I gave this set away in a personal swap, I'm going to make a set for myself soon.
