7171  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Coin pouch (with Pattern) on: May 12, 2008 07:04:11 PM
I've been trying to find a coin pouch frame clasp thing for ages, where did you find that one?

This is really cute, by the way

Ditto! And thanks so much for sharing how to make it! If I ever do find a purse frame that doesn't cost a small fortune, I'm making one!
7172  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: The Science IS Art! swap gallery on: May 12, 2008 06:56:40 PM
That biohazard/DNA scarf is awesome! And, looks like I might be swiping a few of the plastic petri dishes from my closet at school to make myself a set of coasters Wink The test tube windchime is a great idea, too!

Again, my favorite swap so far!

PS And, the clock gave me fits, I tell ya'! But, I have a bunch of keyboards that you can rip apart if you want one of your very own...

PPS Are those chromsomes peeking out of that right-most teaser pic chilledsoup? Wink

And an afterthought (since PPPS just seemed waaaay too junior high Wink ): The Fibonacci pillowcase is leading to a combined Math/Science/Art assignment with some of my students!
7173  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Steel Hooks...No Eyes! on: May 12, 2008 02:37:29 PM
A woman I work with just bought a shirt that had eyelet/grommets with hooks through them instead of buttons. It was wicked cool looking!
7174  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: A Jar of Mini Whimsies Swap Gallery on: May 11, 2008 06:57:30 PM
Cool stuff! Love the mini jar (and I'm totally hooked on those chocolate covered Altoids!)! I like all of the little animals you got (pig, chick, ladybug...).
7175  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: ~*~ Tulip Throw on: May 11, 2008 05:25:27 AM
You are just the queen of the CAL's, aren't you! It's gorgeous, I'd make one for my mom, but I have a ton of projects already. I'll put it on my to-do list though. And I love the color combo of it, and I'm on a no buying yarn thing right now.  Cry

Ditto! I saved the PDF and once I can clear out the mega-ton of stuff I have already, I'm making one! It's so cute- I bet it would make a very cute baby blanket, too.

I'll be watching your progress!
7176  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: PLEASE help me with this fabric! on: May 10, 2008 07:51:06 PM
That's what I figured! Bummer! How have you tried to find it so far? Maybe I can think of another way to search...

Sometimes 2 heads are better than one!

Oh, man! I love that fabric! I wish I could help you out (and I hate posting this kind of post), but I'm hoping someone can help you so I can get some too!

This is a stupid question, but there are no identifying marks around the edges? I can't tell from the pics, really (although A) I don't see any, and B) obviously you would have checked that first thing! Can you tell I'm tired?)

Good luck!
7178  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Reading Rainbow 4 Gallery on: May 10, 2008 07:14:39 PM
I've started the Discworld series! But, I don't think I should read it right before bed. I need to concentrate a bit more. I find myself flipping back and re-reading Wink

Best quote in Walking On Glass so far, good because the characters say none of this in an attempt to be funny:
"What is your name?"
"Steven"
"That is your first name?"
"How many do you think I've had?"

Ha! That's totally funny!

Thanks, and thanks!

I actually have all of the supplies for the zippered one around here somewhere. I bought them over a year ago! Tongue

So, now that I'm back on a sewing kick, I may need to find them and make it!

This bag is so cute! I love the lining fabric!

For the outside, how about a flower applique? You could use the lining fabric for the outside, with an inner shape of the denim. Then you could put a sparkly button or something as the flower center!
