I know my partner received yesterday morning, but I have yet to hear from her!

Me too! But, I know she had to work some crazy hours earlier this week, so I'm guessing that's probably what happened. And, I'm trying (not very successfully, though Wink ) not to worry! I'm being such a dork about it...eeek!

Wow! This is beautiful! I checked out your tute (thanks!) and I love the little trick of using the corner punch- makes it look so professional! What are the "cut and dry nibs"? I've never heard of them. How do they work and where do I find them? Because I'm definitely going to attempt this for someone...not sure which city though (my city has one of the worst/non-existant skylines in the country Tongue ). Maybe someplace I've travelled like Seattle, San Francisco or London. They have cool skylines...

MistressT, you got such a fun jar! And, it's funny because I sent my partner a couple of smashed pennies too (New England Aquarium and Franklin Park Zoo...both in Boston). I have a collection of my own, so the next time I go to Salem (which won't be around Halloween...madness...once is enough Wink ), I'm looking for the penny smashing machine there!

I also love the skull hands! Such fun stuff!

ETA: Just wanted to say my partner already received, so I didn't spoil any secrets Grin
7154  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ APR on: April 24, 2008 06:23:31 PM
I finally finished weaving in my ends so here's my April square! I'm not sure I'm lovin' the rose and peach combo, but maybe I just need to use the rose a bit more. Anyway, here it is in all of it's glory Wink

And, this weekend, I'll be working on the May '07 square so when May '08 rolls around, I should be ready!

Still pluggin' along! Here is my April square! I've wanted to make this one since I first saw it, but I'm staying true to the course and doing them in order. Love it! Definitely on the "do again" list!

You wouldn't know it, but it's hard to write a good test!

When I was going for my teaching certification/Master's degree, one of the classes I took was all about assessment...or how to properly write a test. It is tricky! And then, once you get it written, you have to grade them all...and see where you could have written things a bit better Tongue

But, because I am on vacation, no school work for me! So, I got to work on my items today. Actually, the guy at the frame shop around the corner worked on my item for me Wink It's amazing how much nicer something looks when it is properly matted...

Thanks GumInMyHair!  And, so glad you joined in HOPEANN- can't wait to see what your squares look like Wink

RubyTuesday, that's a wonderful little collection, there! The bracelet is so pretty (nicely done lilylola). Love the goldfish, and the fortune teller fish, too! And, that bunny is way cute!

So, the crocheted case was a gift from BeaG, designed for lip balm and things, I thought you could either make up your own, hence the container, or just use it to carry really small things about! Cheesy

The HP golden snitch bookmark was made by our very own leader RubyTuesday! I bought it in the 'Shop the Swap'.

And the green felt is a flower, but it would make a most excellent lettuce! Grin

I was feeling a bit guilty about putting something into the jar that I had received in a swap, so I'm glad someone else did too!

And now, I'm hungry for a teeny green salad...

Ooooh! Fantastic fabric choices! I'd totally bid on those... I bet they'll raise lots of $$

The crocheted item is a little bag, the plastic case at it's side came inside!!

Ooooh...neat! And is that a felted flower (or tiny head of lettuce)?
