7091  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Science/Math geek Swap (SIGNUP 10/19/07 - 10/31/07 ; MAIL BY 11/30/07) on: October 23, 2007 04:31:07 PM
Now that's just plain mean.  Yesterday I promised myself a rest before signing up for the next swap, and broke my promise in less than 6 hours.  And now I'm going to break it again.   I'll send my details in a tic.   Wink

I'm with you on that...I promised myself that I wouldn't sign up for anymore swaps at least until after the holidays...but I just can't resist this one...

Wow! I can't believe what great stuff everyone got! This was so much fun (after my initial, and middle frustrations...fortunately it all worked out in the end Wink ) and I'll be melting again soon!

Thanks to all of you for participating! I updated feedback (let me know if I messed anything up) and I think I even moved the swap over to the "totally finished" board.

Maybe someday we can do a round 2!

Whoo-hoo! Celebration (and yet sadness, too)! Our swap is officially finished and not one flaker in the bunch (flaky, maybe... Wink ).

Thank you for being such awesome, supportive, cheerful and creative melters!

You made my first official stint as swap organizer a breeze!

Wow! That melted-stuff-between-the-plastic is very cool! I agree with PinkyK...fess up on how you made them! And, I love how you used different types of beads to make your bowls- very nice touch. The record mail holder is a great idea- nice change from a "traditional" bowl shape.
7095  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Fill a Coffee Cup or Mug Swap! on: October 21, 2007 07:12:41 PM
nasty_wench- I love the idea of little kits! You sent a very nice package!

And irish_chicky, all of the teas you received sound so yummy! I have to start digging into my very bountiful tea supply and start drinking more tea! I've been on a (decaf) coffee kick lately, but tea is easier for me to make at work. I'll have to pack a bag of teas...and bring some water...apparently the water in the town where I work failed its last quality test...yuck!

It's so fun to see what everyone is getting!

It'll probably get there tomorrow Wink I can't wait to see what you made her!
7097  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Warm Wool Mittens.....Yay Cool Weather! on: October 21, 2007 08:54:43 AM
I think I finally have the courage to try making mittens, so thanks for posting the pattern link. I'll probably just use acrylic in case I screw them up, though Wink

I love the colors that you used, for yours!

Ooooh! I never thought of the local glass shop. I'd rather spend my money there than a big mega-chain. And, if they can cut notches and curves, then I can customize them even more!

Thanks for the tip!
