7001  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Rabbit stuffie (23/05/06 PATTERN ADDED) on: August 19, 2008 07:17:42 AM
I really like the bunnies, both real and stuffed. I'm thinking of making him into a guinea pig for my nieces! Shorter ears and what not!
Katie49

They'd make perfect guinea pigs! Whoo-hoo! You just gave me an idea for a Christmas gift!
7002  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R2 (FOCR R2) Shades of Blue Gallery on: August 18, 2008 08:08:11 PM
my husb likes to tease me and tell me he got my b-day or Christmas present just so that I will go nutty with wanting to know.  My mom won't even tell me what she buys my kids for Christmas, and when my dad sends them their Christmas stuff, I open up the gifts and peek then re-wrap them
OMG that is so horrible of me!!! I just can't help it  Tongue

My mom calls me up to say, "I got you a present!" whether its for my birthday or some random thing she found. So then I have to wait until I see her to find out...

And, as kids, my dad would mail us gifts for Christmas. One year, my sister untaped her presents to peek. But for one of the gifts, she ripped the paper as she was sliding it back in. So, she dug out some of my mom's paper and re-wrapped it. And nobody even noticed!
7003  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Embroidery Alphabet (lots of pics)**EDIT** with Pattern on: August 18, 2008 07:50:11 PM
Thanks for sharing the pattern!

And, since I forgot to mention it the last time, a border would look nice. But something simple- maybe in black...

Make sure you show us what it looks like if you do add a border!

There were just so many great things in this round! I am jealous of everyone...because I wanted everything Wink

Even though I've received such a lovely, it's fun to see who gets what!
7005  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Favorite Recipes Mini Swap! Sign-ups CLOSED Send by: Sept. 2 on: August 18, 2008 06:06:00 PM
Those mini mitts are so cute! I need to make a set of those and keep them beside the microwave. I never have them handy when I need them...

And, the pic of your dog is fabulous. What a cutie! And apparently well trained, too!

And, I am one step closer to finishing my item. It suddenly dawned on me that this is my last week of vacation before I head back to school next week and I have a TON of stuff I haven't done. Been slacking big time (laid out with a back injury for a couple of weeks didn't help) so I've been dividing up my crafting time into little chunks each day. Sadly...
7006  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along on: August 18, 2008 05:41:19 PM
Wow! Your crochet classes are paying off. That yellow cloth came out great! And, the green one is a lovely shade of Al Wink I wish I could knit, because I'd make an alien using that style where people knit the pictures in (I don't know what stitches they use, so I can't explain well...).

Hmmmm...maybe I should try to crochet an alien head!

And, I was just thinking of you today as I drove past our favorite comic book store...
7007  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Dotee Doll ROUND TWO Gallery on: August 18, 2008 05:37:34 PM
Oh my goodness! Such adorable dolls! I like the different clay faces on the new ones and the different charms and such on the "danglies." I had considered making some out of shrink plastic, but then didn't. I might have to explore the possibility for the next batch. The piggie face and the server are a hoot! I need to use felt more...so versatile!
7008  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Matchbook notebooks for my shop. on: August 18, 2008 05:32:49 PM
Those are way cute! And, much better than a business card that would most likely get tossed. How many "pages" did you put in each one?

I'm in charge of our recycling program at school and these would make neat prizes for the kids in the homerooms that recycle the most. I can make the pages out of recycled paper. And, by printing the covers out on cardstock (green, of course), I can put some recycling facts and stuff on them.

You know, I've seen these before, but I never thought of printing stuff on them with the computer. It opens up a whole bunch of new possibilities! Thanks so much for sharing your version of this idea!
7009  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along on: August 18, 2008 04:57:50 PM
Thanks for the link! Turns out I already had it, but I hadn't added it to my "Plan to Make" list. It's on there now! I don't know how I missed it before!

And, I can see why you like the star ones- they stitch up quick! And the pattern is easy to follow, too.

I was actually surprised to receive today! I have been so fixated on getting swaps in the mail that i kind of forgot that I'd be getting something in return!
