6981  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: I love my Poppet Swap on: January 09, 2008 02:39:07 PM
I'm happy to wait, too, especially since I still don't have my machine back. He said a week and a half to 2 weeks. Friday will be 2 weeks...and I don't care if New Year's was in there...I want it back!
6982  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Reading Rainbow Swap round?? on: January 09, 2008 02:36:40 PM
Hooray! I'm calling my mom this weekend to set up the bribe Wink
6983  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: PAPER CRAFTS CHALLENGE!! on: January 09, 2008 02:34:04 PM
I have an idea, but I don't think I can get the stuff...but that's okay since I wasn't planning to enter anyway Wink

But, my idea is on the "Will make" list...

craftADDchick - I was thinking along the lines of:
Would you be okay making something other than a totebag/bookmark?
Would you like to recieve something other than a totebag/bookmark?
Anyway I could make those sound better? :S

Hmmmm...this is just a wording change, but I don't know if it is really any better Wink

Would you be willing to make something instead of a totebag/bookmark?
Would you like to receive something instead of a totebag/bookmark?

I hope that you get feedback soon! My mom is leaving on the 26th, I think, and I need to use my "bribe" before she goes so I can get her help on one of my planned items Wink If the official timing doesn't work, I might still go ahead and make it- I can always keep it for myself Grin
6985  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: TUTORIAL: Singlet Style Shopping Bag (like the plastic shopping bag) on: January 08, 2008 06:44:20 PM
Wow! That's an excellent stack of bags! I'm still trying to get a few finished. I've got them all cut out and the first one is started...but then my sewing machine broke Sad

But, they are very near the top of my MUST FINISH SOON list!
6986  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: (Now with tutorial!) - SODA/BEER cans - Almost Unlimited Uses! Charms (5 Pics) on: January 08, 2008 06:42:40 PM
Excellent! Now you'll have to post pics of what you made! I teach in a fairly low-income school as well. I have a bunch of design/engineering events in my class, and the kids always want prizes. I never thought about something like this. I bet my kids would love them, too!
6987  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 50+ Wash Cloths-along on: January 08, 2008 04:09:01 PM
Hmmmm...okay, that explanation works for me! Wink

And, once you get all settled in, I'd love to see pics of your son's room. Sounds so cool!

PS It's almost too pretty to use, but I'm stopping at Dunkin' Donuts tomorrow morning and I'll be bringing it. Bet I get lots of compliments on it at my morning staff meeting. Wink
6988  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Floppy Disc Notebook on: January 08, 2008 03:40:42 PM
I'll bet you could still find some somewhere in some office. I know I still have a bunch hanging around somewhere just waiting to be used for something! If not, you could make these with the smaller 3.5" discs. You just would have to find another way to put the holes in. Maybe you could take out the locking tabs and use those as the holes?
6989  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Show off your cake decorating skills! on: January 08, 2008 03:36:29 PM
Wow! Thanks everyone! Kiss

What is ready-roll icing?

It is pre-packaged fondant icing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fondant). Far easier then all that hub-bub messing around with boiling sugar! It's the consistancy of smooth dough, and you just colour it with food-colouring.

Thanks! I'll have to look for it at the store. Is it in the refrigerated section or the baking aisle?
6990  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Handmade Rubber Stamps (sign ups Dec 5-Dec 27, Sendouts Jan18) on: January 08, 2008 02:40:48 PM
I'm so glad to hear all this happy stamper feedback Grin Make sure you pm me when you send out and also pm me if you haven't heard from your swapmates....er...except my swapmates Tongue

Should I have contacted my other swap partners? I haven't yet...I stalked them a bit though... Wink
