Thanks! Freezer paper makes me look like a pro! Otherwise, it'd be a total mess Wink

This is Daffodil. She's all yellow, with painted eyes. I just finished her hair, and put a pink chiffon strip in it.

I realize she's a bit monotone, but she was inspired by a flower. Cheesy

Hmmm, she needs a mouth, and I think I still have some yellow floss!

The monotone works so well with that color!! I love it. I bought the yellow alova suede because it was 80% off. But I was not sure about it.  You just sold me on the yellow.  Grin Grin

She is so gorgeous.

I have some of the yellow too, and the lady at Jo-Ann's who cut it said she needed sunglasses to even look at it. But, I think she'd change her mind if she saw Daffodil!

And, all of the new Poppets are stunning! One of the swaps (Christmas stocking, maybe?) had a post with all of the stockings images together on one page. It would be so cool to see the huge Poppet family all together like that! I know that I can click "Show Images Only," but it isn't the same when you have to scroll through all of the pages...

I know we're not supposed to quote images, but if I put a post like that together (mini pics of all of the Poppets), would I get in trouble for that?
I could always host a page on my own website...

Or, does it already exist somewhere and I've just missed it?

If not, I'd love to do it!
6983  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: PAPER CRAFTS CHALLENGE!! on: January 06, 2008 06:41:21 PM
I would love to attempt this, but I know that anything I make would pale in comparison to all of the amazing paper craft geniuses that I see on here. So, I'll be keeping an eye on this so I can ooh and aah over all of the wonderful things that will be created. And, I will be drawing inspiration from you for future projects, I'm sure.

Can't wait to see it all!

This came out fantastic! I love your fabric choices and I love that you designed it in Excel, too. I have a baby gift to make for a gal at work and I might be flattering you by imitating your design Wink

It came out great, yellowduckie! I love your choice of yarn!

Oh, my goodness! I love Daffodil! And, I think she is beautiful in all yellow.  The dash of pink is an excellent touch!
6987  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ JAN on: January 06, 2008 06:30:07 PM
I am feverishly working on my January 2007 square so I can do this one next. But, with only two rows left to go on it, it is wayyyyy too small! I even used a bigger hook than was recommended. And here I thought that I was starting to crochet looser Tongue

So, I didn't get the 2007 finished by tonight like I planned. But I should have it finished in the next couple of days, so I'll be able to start on this one by Friday.

And, based on the speed at which you all are cranking them out, I might actually get the 2008 one finished by the end of the month! And that, my Craftster friends, would be a miracle, indeed...
6988  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Ribbon Votive Holders on: January 06, 2008 06:25:08 PM
That's a great idea! Ribbon is available in so many colors and patterns that it'd be easy to find ones to match the wedding colors. It'd be a pretty inexpensive centerpiece, too.

I have a hamster in my classroom that has been totally adopted by one of the 3rd graders. She took it home over vacation and is already asking to take it home over the rest of the vacations and summer. And, when she leaves the school at the end of the 5th grade she's already asked if she could keep it! Of course, I had to say yes...if it's still alive Wink

In any case, I'm thinking that I might make a shirt for her, too. And maybe one for me Wink

More amazing and fantastic Poppets! You guys are making them so fast and furious (in a good way of course!) that I can barely keep up with all of the posts Wink

I'm loving the look of the centaur! I, too, love how the Poppet pattern is evolving, yet still retaining all of it's Poppet-y charm!

I was hoping to come home on Friday to a message saying that my machine was ready, but no such luck. Not that it mattered because I lost all of my crafting time this weekend because I had to do stuff for work. Tongue
