I just love how you used the pocket to make a pocket on the outside, too!

Okay, since I totally want to steal this idea, I just want to make sure I get what you did...

You cut the pocket part off of the pants with a little extra for the seam allowance. Then, you cut your interior fabric and sewed on the elastic. Then, you stitched the interior to the exterior and turned it right side out. Then, you put in the zipper. Is that about right? Because I have a pair of cargo pants that I've never gotten around to hemming. And, now they don't fit. So...pencil/pen/brush cases for the family this Christmas...definitely!

Thank you so much for posting this!

I forgot to post my ornament from esmerelda!

I finally figured out where to photograph it, and even then, it doesn't really do it justice. She made me a fabric tree! And, she used a cool grey linen-looking fabric and a very neat looking (looks vintage, too) red and white fabric. I took the photo in an attempt to show the bottom fabric...

Thanks, esmerelda! I love it!

akakaylamay- You hit the turtle ornament jackpot! And, if my first package ever finds its way to you, there is another one in there Wink I thought I had a picture, but then I remembered that I never took them. Silly me...

Your replacement set of ornaments are drying, but I need to do more work on one of them. I'm waiting for the laundry to finish, so I'm still awake to work on them. So, if I can't get them out tomorrow, I'll have to shoot for Friday (I have a class on Thursday and won't make the PO).

Al got an action figure!!!  I saw it at the grocery store vending machines.  Isn't that a riot?!!!  I bet Al doesn't even know about it...maybe his manager snuck it through?  Grocery stores aren't exactly Target but hey it's all good!  Yaaaayyyy!!!  Go Al.  I think I'm keeping this one as a momento of Al.  It can go in my "china" cabinet.  hee hee.  Wink

NINJA AL!!!

It looks just like him! No mouth and everything! Maybe that's why he didn't say anything Wink

And, I really am working on the rest of Kimi's stuff...

I think PinkyK's and my swap partners are going to be mildly suprised by the cool stuff we are preparing. I love it when a plan comes together.

Kappy (Silicon Gloved Since 2006)

You are such a tease!! I can't wait!!

I got home too late tonight to do any melting. The only reason I'm still awake is that I need to do laundry so I have clothes to wear to work tomorrow. Tomorrow, I'm skipping the blood donation (I'll reschedule, I promise!), so I can finish up a bunch of things and get in some quality melting time!

Thanks dudes!! I love my new couch!

craftADDchick, I totally want to make some cool pillows for it. I'm waiting until we find something to cover that horrible linoleum floor you see, so it can match!

And then you'll need some cool new artwork to hang over the couch...and maybe some fabulous curtains, too!

Wow! Having reupholstered my own couch, I know what a job it can be. Looks like you did a great job, though! It looks like you have a brand new couch. Now, you need to make some snazzy throw pillows for it Wink

Ouch! And yuck!

Ever since I was a kid and saw Johnny Tremain on TV- the scene where he burns his hand with silver or something on Sunday- I have this fear of burning my hands badly...so I don't ever work with silver on Sunday...
