6911  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My latest Crazy Craft Idea on: June 15, 2008 06:04:22 PM
Your books look amazing.  I am feeling SO jealous - and quite a bit stupid.

Am I the only one who has struggled with this ridiculously simple machine?

I have had nothing but trouble with mine.  I can never get things to come out even.  I end up with a half a hole on one end - or the holes are too far from the ends - or the inside pages don't line up with the cover.

I finally found the video on their website - although I haven't really had time to study it.  I did discover that the covers couldn't be "odd" sizes that they have to be an even inch or 1/2 inch number - I'm hoping that will help my "half-hole" problem.  It would have been nice, for those of us who are diy impaired, if the instructions that came with the machine were more than a few lines.

Any tips from someone who obviously has it all figured out?

There is a Yahoo Bind-It-All group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Binditall/) and the moderator has posted an awesome users guide that should help you out! You should give it a look-see because I've found it to be a very helpful community (and the moderator is just a fantastic person, too!).

And SuzNTX, ever since I got my BIA, I've been saving up cool boxes just so I can do the same thing! Did you back the covers with anything? And, did you use a chipboard back cover?

TheSapphireMoon, those are so pretty! And, I know a couple of little girls who would just love them! Of course, since there are 5 little girls I gift to, I'd have to carefully study them to make a few more Wink They'd all look so cute in them!!

I am working on a list... Items that would be perfect for me, and items that would be perfect as gifts! So far, the "perfect for me" list is much longer Wink
6919  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Kaleidoscope cane ***Tutorial***(new magenta cane added pg 2 and 3) on: June 15, 2008 10:00:04 AM
Wow! Such gorgeous work, and I love seeing all of the examples of what can be made with them! It really makes me want to dig out some clay and give it a go (but I'm still a little bit chicken). I'll have to set up a dedicated space for "clay play" and then go to town!

I've got this bookmarked (as well as Diane B.'s site) so when I have the time (and the courage), I can give it a whirl...
6920  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Re: 2-Color Birthday T-shirts on: June 15, 2008 09:53:41 AM
Thanks! One color is very easy, especially with freezer paper. I still have some kinks to work out with the 2 colors. Once I get that down, I can try more!

And, just as a warning (sort of Wink ), once you get hooked on stenciling things, you'll want to apply stencils to everything! And everyone that you know will be wearing a piece of your artwork Cheesy
