6831  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ JAN on: January 22, 2008 06:03:56 PM
I do love all of the squares that everyone is making! Someday, I will make more of the January square. It looks so nice and it is so fast to do!

I love all of the filler squares too, and I recognize several patterns from the 2007 round.

I can hardly wait to see the February square! I've got my yarn all picked out! Wink
6832  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Handmade Rubber Stamps Gallery on: January 22, 2008 04:26:20 PM
Oh, no! My stamps to the folks in the US have been delivered. Now, I'm truly anxious. I'm going to go and finish my book now and try not to obsessively check this thread...

Fantastic job! Nice crocheting and presentation!

And, I'd love a little tut if you could put one together. Thanks for offering!

Thanks for digging up that pattern, Eliea! It looks pretty and easy, too.

Very, very cute! I love her little mouth and her flowered neckband...
6836  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Reading Rainbow 4 Sendouts: Feb. 19th on: January 21, 2008 08:03:25 PM
I just got home from my mom's and, although we couldn't do what I intended for the tote bag, we did something else that I like! If it wasn't waaaay past my bedtime, I'd be working on it now!
6837  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: What to make when you can only crochet a rectangle... on: January 21, 2008 07:56:14 PM
They didn't take much yarn, so they'd be an ideal scrap project. Now that I know how to change colors, I might have to do that with some of my leftover yarns after I make dischloths. Thanks for the idea!

Excellent fabric choice for a market bag!

One of these days I'll get pics of mine posted...
6839  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Leap into the New Year FROG Swap. (sign-ups CLOSED, send-outs 2/20) on: January 21, 2008 07:52:31 PM
I went to my mom's today and, while seeking wool fabric, I bought a couple of things to make potential items for this swap. Problem is, they may be too hard to give up!

6840  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: knitting needle and crochet hook roll-a-long on: January 21, 2008 07:49:40 PM
That whale fabric is awesome! And, I went to Wal-mart (shudder!) today to get something I needed for a demonstration tomorrow and they didn't have it. I looked for magnetic snaps, but they didn't have those either, so I got some heavy duty snaps. Then, later I managed to get to Jo-Anns, but I forgot to get magnetic snaps (I was looking for wool and they didn't have any and I was irritated by that...).

But, now I definitely need a huge crochet hook roll. I just added 3 more hooks to my collection. I bought some wool yarn, thinking (foolishly) that I could crochet up some squares and felt them to get my wool fabric. Don't know when I expected to get that done today! I just got home about half an hour ago (10:15 pm). Silly me...
