Hey there, Puppy_girl! Your bag came out great! I'm impressed that you added a zipper to it, too! Love the fabric you used, as well.

Yay! I'm so glad you posted pics!

Very cute! is the dragonfly made with beads, or is it a charm? I like the wings, too!

That basket is fantastic! I love that the dye colors are made from edible (or drinkable) things found in the kitchen. Envious... definitely!

I love how the little cup-of-joe has a swirl of cream in it! So cute!

thanate and Cat9, you guys have some mad sewing skills. I love how you coordinated your efforts, too! Fantastic!

And, I have this thing about tents, so now I want one of those tepees in my living room. I'd be sitting in it right now, listening to the rain hammer on the roof and windows of the house. I'd be so happy!

And, longtimegeek, I'm glad you like the lunch bag! Here's a picture of it with it's fraternal twin:

And, muria, the iron on vinyl was super easy to work with! Just don't let it stick to itself (it peels apart, but I was afraid I'd tear it) before you put it on the fabric, and keep the iron away (I did melt a small spot, but I re-melted it back together and you could barely tell!). Next time I get a 50% off coupon, I'm buying more- folks are getting re-usable lunch bags for Christmas...

Arrrgh! Seems like the undies I sent are still sitting at the PO... torture, I tell ya'!
6778  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One for Me, One for You Swap sendouts extended to 9/16 on: September 06, 2008 06:36:47 AM
The craft gods have been kind to me...

Just when I was starting to panic about how I was going to finish up the Poppets in time for the extended deadline, I got a phone call from my sister this morning, about 2 minutes before I walked out the door for a 2-hour drive to her house, to tell me that, due to the weather, she probably wouldn't be busy at the fair she was working at (she does caricatures) so she wouldn't need my help. Whoo-hoo! So, I have the rest of today and half of tomorrow to work on them. So, I could be sending on Tuesday!

I feel so much better now...

This is probably my favorite "made from neckties" item that I've seen posted on here. Fabulous job!

Thanks! And, SIL loved it, which was great Smiley I might have to head back to the thrift store and see if they have any 45s so I can make a few smaller ones.

And, if I had botched the bowl, I was keeping that notebook for myself- I really like how the cover graphics lined up on the cover. Pat myself on the back Wink
