6751  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Reading Rainbow 4 Sendouts: Feb. 19th on: January 18, 2008 06:00:34 PM
A book journal is something that I should love, but I know that I could never keep up with it. I started a swap journal (received from a swap partner), and after about 6 swaps, I stopped using it. I kept a diary once for about a year...and that was it for that, too. I wish that I could be more constant with things like this, but it just isn't my thing, really.

I sent this morning and PM'd the recipients. Now...the wait begins... (cue ominous music...)...

Can't wait! I am getting partnered in another swap tonight or tomorrow, but it is a quick one, so I'll be all set in a few days to craft for this! Fun, fun!!

LOL kikigirl!  Grin Grin Grin

And, I still have something to send you that should put a smile on your face. But, I've hit a roadblock on something and it has turned into a serious mental block. I will be sending something soon, I promise!

And Al is kissing my computer screen right now to send you his love  Kiss Kiss Kiss (too bad they don't have little alien smileys Wink ).
6755  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ JAN on: January 18, 2008 02:47:04 PM
Oooooh, jessvict I love the yarn that you used for your square. It's totally not a color I would use, but it looks FANTASTIC! I really should stop thinking of myself when I buy yarns Wink

And, I will finally be starting my square tonight. I just mailed out a swap and won't be assigned partners on the next one until tonight or tomorrow, so I have a brief window of opportunity. Hopefully, I'll have a square to post by Monday!

I just started re-reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. It's soooo funny! XD I love it. <3's~

Someone recommended these to me a few years ago, but I never picked them up. Then, a couple of gals I worked with were huge fans and had all of the books. I borrowed a stack over vacation and ripped through them. Now, I've got my sister hooked!

PlumCrafty- I love the Utopias Map stamp! It is so clean looking! I might have to try carving on the pink stuff next.

And, MunLtStmpr- Thanks for the carving tips. I really need to use my Exacto more. For some reason, I feel more comfortable using the cutting toolsmaybe because I took a woodcut printmaking class and the tools are similar? Whatever the reason, youve definitely inspired me to practice a bit more with the Exacto. Wink

And, here is my stamp from have to craft! I will be able to use this stamp on a bunch of different projects. And, Ill even be able to use portions of it for some projects and the whole stamp for other projects. Its very versatile! I didn't have a ruler handy, so the ink pad is for scale... Thanks a bunch, have to craft!

Super cute! It reminds me in a small way of those pom-poms with feet and googly eyes that were all the rage when I was in Jr. high...they had a name...but I can't recall it...tough getting old...

But, this is definitely cuter! And, it would be fun to make a bunch and leave them in random places for people to come across...

MunLtSmpr- You continue to slay me with your awesome carving skills. Not only letters, but letters on a small scale. I love them all! Again, I bow to your magnificence! Do you use an Exacto exclusively? Or carving tools, too? You must not drink any coffee... Wink

have2craft- Very cool stamp! How big is it?

Well, mine are packed and ready, come what may...

Hopefully the weather cooperates. Due to snow and ice tonight and tomorrow morning, we could have a 2-hour delay tomorrow, which would mean my day would start at 11:00 and my lunch time is scheduled at 11:05...and then I'll have 1 1/2 classes to teach...tough Friday Wink

But it would give me time to hit the PO in the morning!
