Wow! Awesome stuff odd_artist! And, I love your wall of trees. The painting and clock fit right in!

That tree is awesome!  I might have missed it, but what exactly is it made of/how does it work?  Definitely very neat!

The tree itself is made of brown cardstock.  It sits in a little plastic dish and comes with a packet of some special water.  I have NO IDEA what is actually growing LOL!
It is soft and fluffy and scares me almost as much as it fascinates me.

Too funny! I wish I knew more about minerals and stuff to help you answer this. Since the special water looks clear, I wonder if it picks up color as it is drawn up the trunk (by capillary action)? I'm going to have to keep my eye out for one of these and try one for myself!

6704  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Undies Swap - My Fave Themes .:CLOSED:. on: October 27, 2008 06:26:14 PM
Okay, so I was totally supposed to be doing laundry, or working on another swap or doing something besides this... but, I just found my inspiration images for my undies!!

I'm hoping that I can find the materials to do what I want to do... I really, really hope... but, I'm pretty sure I should be able to...
6705  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: 2008 12" Squares ~ OCT on: October 27, 2008 04:48:36 PM
thanks.   Smiley
it's going to be a pain in the butt to weave in all the ends though (i currently just have them all on one side so the picture would look nice).

Ah, the curse of the multiple color changes Wink

And, I'm gathering up information for one of the techniques I may use on one of my partner's sets. I just have to decide which technique will work the best on which shirt. One is ribbed/stretchy so I'm not sure how to deal with that... Do I stretch it out before I put stuff on it? That way it still looks good when it is being worn? I need some advice...

I would stretch it out, just like you said. I like to use pillows with a piece of cardboard in between the shirt and the pillow for something firmer to stencil on.

Thanks for the advice (again... you're the undies master Wink ). A pillow is a great idea! That makes both of my ideas entirely possible! Now, to find the time to do them Wink

WOW! Outstanding package! Now, I'm feeling as though what I have planned is a little less than stellar... Guess I'll need to kick it up a notch!! And, could those blue things x-ray be sun prints?

6709  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Obama Campaign Poster Notebook on: October 26, 2008 06:13:06 PM
This summer, my uncle was expressing his political views, and he happened to mention that he didn't agree with the teachers' union. When I called him on it (I'm a teacher), he said he meant the NEA (National Education Association). He's also not an Obama fan. So, when I was at the state teachers' union summer conference, I managed to snag a campaign poster. I converted it in to a graph paper notebook using my Bind-It-All. Hopefully, he'll get it tomorrow. I wanted to give it to him myself, but it didn't work out. I hope he knows I'm teasing him...  Grin

I did tell my mum that if he really doesn't appreciate it, that I'll take it back...
