It doesn't have to be Red Heart, although that is the most common. Caron Simply Soft also fits the bill (and I might be sending some this round), and I'm sure that there are other brands, too. I hope you can join us!

Wow! What a fantastic package. Those scarves are beautiful! The dragon is awesome, as well. But, I love, love the tree on the mirror. That would sit on my desk, and I know that just by looking at it, it would take me away to a peaceful place.

Nicely done, RondaS!

Just adorable! As has been said (but deserves saying again Wink ), his face is just perfect! He looks like he's waiting for someone to serve him up a nice bit of abalone.

Thanks for answering this, myklia! I think I'll go back and make the info bold in the description Smiley

hehe, I was a little insomniac this morning (unusual for me) and happened to see the question. Smiley

That snowman is adorable! I need some winter love for my desk at school...

And, angeltreats, can't wait to see the reindeer, but now I'm even more curious about the essay question Wink I grew up in an area with a large Portuguese community, but didn't learn much Portuguese. Now, I have Brazilian students, and I wish I had learned something besides Thank you, hot, cold, and the names of dishes and cutlery (I worked in a restaurant that had a crew of Brazilian dishwashers) Wink

Well, badly translated it would be:

"Knowing and using the local language well is a question of citizenship."

I can't think of any way to talk about sewing or crochet and still answer the question!  Later on we get to do a presentation about the history of Brazilian music which will be a much more interesting thing to write about.

Hmmm... maybe you could say that if you know the language, it's easier to be a good citizen by doing volunteer work in the community- like teaching kids to sew and crochet, or working with senior citizens. Translating free patterns from English to Portuguese could also make you a helpful citizen Wink

Just sent my info in.. I forgot to add... I LOVE verigated yarns.. drats!
Linda P

Don't worry! I'll add it to your questionnaire! Wink

me too! is there a min/max length for the odd balls?

It is in the info, you send 10 yards aka 30 feet of 10 different yarns to each partner you have (or one partner if you chose one).  I'm really looking forward to seeing what we all send each other.  I might get started this weekend as well.

Thanks for answering this, myklia! I think I'll go back and make the info bold in the description Smiley

I'm still churning ideas around in my brain. I definitely have to start my large item this weekend (the one solid idea I have), but I have to dig out the materials for it. If it comes out badly, I'll still have time to make other items!
