That is beautiful. I just wrote a post for somewhere about love letters and I might have to link to the tutorial there now as well.

You're super organised aren't you? I can tell from all the seperate little inside pockets - what a  cute feature.

hose are really fun, all wallets should have lots of pockets and flaps. It looks like you could keep lip gloss and a compact in there as well?
14  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Great Supplies Make Prices High on: July 14, 2008 05:58:39 AM
Really? Oh ok - I've seen handmade non precious stone earrings for 20 but no higher. Glad to get some feedback.
15  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Great Supplies Make Prices High on: July 09, 2008 06:07:19 AM
So I properly priced out a pair of earrings I want to list on Etsy instead of doing the usual inspired guess (I know I know but I only get a few Etsy hours a day so I only have time for one aspect of development at a go and this week it's pricing). I'm UK based so I added up my supplies cost in first which came to 8.76. Now that sounds ok in pounds but when you change that to $ it becomes roughly $17 just for supply costs!

To make any sort of decent profit and contribute an itty bit to marketing overheads these earrings will need to be listed at $30 (giving me roughly 6.50 not related to supply costs). Now again this sounds ok in pounds (roughly 15) but to me $30 sounds way too much for even a great pair of handmade earrings.

I don't want to cut back on the quality of my supplies but I started a materials ledger last night to help me reprice all my existing items so I imagine lots will end up rising in price. Am I really going to be able to sell with prices like this?

Why oh why can't I list in pounds, whcih would amke my items seem more reasonably priced?

I got to 100 hearts this weekend. I know, I know hearts do not correspond to sales (boy do I know) but it's taken me ages to get here and I'm going to celebrate!

Love that style of dress and the finishing white trims make the red go pop. And you took such care about it as well - a true crafty lady never gives up!
