I made this for a swap on another site that I'm participating in.  It came out really well (if I don't say so myself).  They're not hard either, a little bit fiddly, but not too bad!

The tutorial I used suggested that you use buttons, but I had a cute little flower bead that I thought went just right with it, so I used it instead.

A lot of people make the bottoms really pretty too, but I was making myself blind stitching on this linen, so I did something simple!

I'm organizing my first swap, and requested that people be willing to ship internationally...  That being said I've already had two people sign up who flat out refuse to send internationally.  No, it's not -really- an issue as most of my signups are in the US and Canada thus far, but for some reason it's really frustrating to me that people are so unwilling to follow the rules that I requested.  Is there a diplomatic way to say "Please don't sign up if you're not willing to send internationally?"  Chances are that I wouldn't even run into an issue with needing them to ship out of the US, but argh!  I'm moving out of the country and I still want to participate in swaps... so maybe this is just a hot button issue for me right now.  Any suggestions?

Everyone will choose a color.  Their partner will then craft for them something to encompass each of the five senses:  sight, taste, touch, hearing, smell. 

For example if you were to do orange:

Sight:  Painting/drawing anything visual of orange
Taste:  Cheetos or mac & cheese (taste is a bit tricky, because really how does a color -taste- but use your imagination!
Touch:  A fuzzy orange scarf, some orange flip flops with an interesting texture/treads
Sound:  This one is tricky too, but you could come up with something that corresponds to how the color makes you feel.  Orange to me would evoke happy bright feelings... a mix CD with bouncy bright songs on it.  Or an orange kazoo.  Again, use your imagination.
Smell:  I'd think something citrusy.  We'd need to be careful about this one and keep people with scent allergies in mind as well!

You can take into this as an art project, or a crafting project... or a combination of both.  I'm not going to put size restrictions on things, but do your best work.  Make something that you'd like to get back!

I have been experimenting with crocheting wire, and this is what I've come up with so far!

Is anyone else getting this message?  I was getting it periodically for the past few days, but yesterday and today, it's practically on every link I click on.  So I go back and click again and it'll work... But, it's drivin me craaazy!

I should've thought of this 2 months ago when there was more time for it, but what do people think of crafting an advent calander, and swapping it?  It could be made of any material, could have goodies inside, little toys, ect.
