5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / ease on: August 23, 2007 08:39:39 AM
i have a pattern for a skirt--2-6t

they say it has an ease of 8.5"
so does that mean it need to take it in 4" on each side to make it the "real" size?

i made one for my daughter and it was ginormous!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: how do you ladies gather? on: August 23, 2007 08:36:23 AM
this is the greatest tip from my mom!

take a piece of waxed dental floss and zig-zag around the floss--when done--pull at either end and it will gather--

when your done sewing you can pull the piece of dental floss out and use it again.

it works great!!!!
