11  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Star Baby Blanket~Along on: September 04, 2007 12:26:07 PM
I have been looking at this blanket for awhile now.  I printed the pattern months ago.  I have three friends who are expecting so I thought I would try this one.  I started it this morning and am on row 7.  It seems to workup pretty quickly as long as I don't get bored.  I am using Caron Simply soft in Blue mint and Limelight.  I wasn't too sure about the color combo, but I think I like it.  I will post pictures a little farther down the road.  By the way, I read through the whole post!  Thank you so much for all of your tips and help.  This site rocks!

Very nice.  I like the simplicity of it.  Very elegant.

Fizzgiggly that is great fabric.  So cool to grocery shop with.  I made another one, but have to take a picture of it.  It now holds my current crochet project.

I love it.  I love all crazy vintage fabric.  Your little one is so cute.  These are great colors on her, she seems to just light up.

Please don't appologize for too many pictures.  I love them all.  These fabrics are great.  If only I did not have to work or clean my house....I could make these all day!

I love them all.  I really like the blue polka-dots.  What size pocket are you guys using?

Great Job.  I started doing this last year, but got bored with cutting all those strips.  I still have them and might pick it up again sometime.

I have made a couple pair of these.  Some girls at my church wanted me to show them how.  We got together one afternoon and made a couple pair.  I forgot to take my camera that day though.  We even made some out of men's polo shirts.  They turned out pretty cute, but we needed a little bigger shirts.  This is the pair that I made for my daughter.  I made a waistband casing out of some fabric I had.  I just put some wide elastic in the casing then. It took no time at all.

Here she is modeling my grocery bag I made as seen here:http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0

here is another shot of the waistband.  Sorry about the camera strap, but the camera died and this is the only shot I got.

Queenofdiy, thank you so much for this wonderful tute.  I have been looking at Envirosax for a couple of months now.  This is so much better because I can use up some my fabric stash.  The french seam gave me a bit of grief, but I finally figured it out.  After the cutting errors and alot of seam ripping, here goes.

My first attempt with cutting errors: notice the upside down flamingos and the pocket that is too small.
My daughter (modeling) stole the reject one.  She is also modeling her t-shirt gauchos as see in this tute:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=99090.0

Here is the second attempt with what fabric I could salvage.  It is much smaller, but I really like it.  I didn't do a pocket on this one.

Now that I have learned a few things, I am excited to do this again.
