1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My 3rd project - Strawberry Cake Purse. IMG Chunky :) on: August 12, 2009 04:31:43 PM
Well it was supposed to be a cowl, but the pattern I used was extremely off. The thing looked like a darn neck brace! It was super ugly.

So, I figured i'd improvise and make it into a purse.
I had a zipper laying around and even though it's  grey it still works Smiley

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet cake frosting edge? on: August 01, 2009 01:44:59 AM
Needing a little help.
I am currently crocheting a strawberry cowl cake (scarf) and I wanted the edging as well as around in the middle of the cowl to look like frosting.

If you think you have an idea to how this frosting in the photo i'm providing would crochet up, please let me know. I'm familiar with stitches but not so much looking and guessing. I think it's either single/double crochet combined? Any help would be AWESOME. Thank you..

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / Wedding Invitations on: February 20, 2008 10:59:17 AM
I am getting married on June 6th of this year..
I don't have a lot of time to spare, so I'm kind of stalled on invitations.

We really don't want them made by a company so, we are hand making them. The only problem is that, we have to make over 300......... (yes, we have a lot of friends.)

Our colors are Maroon and Black (with white accents..)
I was wondering if anyone had any cute, fast and decent looking invitation styles that would be fairly easy to make...... links, photos, anything. I have a bit of help, considering I have 11 bridesmaids!

Thank you,
Norma.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Plastic Jewelry? on: April 03, 2007 05:11:40 AM
I've been looking at this girl's jewelry for quite a while now. It's quite a pretty penny so, I'd like to make my own. I know the crystals are swarvoski & she claims the pieces are made of "Lucite".. where could I get some of that or what else could I make these out of? I've tried DVD cases but, they came out horrible...

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Adding shimmer/glitter to polymer clay? HELP! on: October 22, 2006 10:09:36 PM
I went to wal-mart tonight and bought some extra fine glitter to put in my polymer clay pieces I'm about to make. I was wondering if anyone knew exactly how I'm supposed to come across applying the glitter..? Do I put glitter on after baking and then put a glaze/top coat on or mix the glitter into the clay? If anyone has any clue to what I'm talking about, please send a reply. I'm getting on here first thing in the morning to see what you all have come up with as solutions. Well, goodnight! & Thanks.
-Norma.
