I know there is a roving thread up top and I looked but didn't find this answer.  I am looking for some natural merino/tencel to handdye, anyone have a good supplier?  Thanks!

I got this roving today, it is called Dandy Lion and it is this month's selection from Spunky Eclectic's Fiber of the Month Club.  It is my first month and I am in love!



It is 4oz and 130 yards of superwash merino, plied together.  I love this colorway and will be making something from this soon.  What, I have no clue......suggestio ns welcome.

I finally got to dye up some rovings using my acid dye kit from www.helloyarn.com and I think they turned out pretty good.  I cannot wait to spin them up!

This one is 2oz of merino, called American Beauty



This one is 2oz of South African Fine, called Chaos Theory



And this one is 4oz of mill ends from TSS, called Grapevine



I have used Wilton dyes and the colors were okay, but these dyes just work so much better and seem to affect the roving better as well.  I can't wait to order more colors and dye a bunch more up!!!  Thanks for looking!

I hope this is okay to post here, because I am getting nowhere.  I ordered my wheel from Paradise Fibers, I got it okay and the fibers I ordered.  But a piece of the plying head is broken and I have emailed them a few times with no response or follow up (since last Thursday).  My husband could probably fix the piece, but I want to know if they want it back or will send a replacement or whatnot.  When you order something that expensive you kind of want it to be in working condition.

Has anyone had an issue with them?  Or maybe are they just really busy or having personal things going on?

I just got my wheel a few hours ago and I am slowly getting the hang of it.  Here is my first overtwisted, not even, unset single.  It is a gorgeous color (Marigold Wool Blend from Spunky Eclectic) and I love it.  LOL!  Let me know what you think.  Thanks for all the help and support already, you all are a font of information!

I am so excited, my Lendrum ST just got here and I just finished putting it together (easy peasy), now I am just staring at it and scared to start.  LOL!  I have a video and tons of fiber, so I guess I should just jump right in.  Wish me luck.

I am off to spin some more from SMF, in a gorgeous merlot colorway.    And I have 5 lbs of roving coming from The Sheep Shed and a sampler from Spunky Eclectic and hopefully buying a wheel soon too.  I love spinning and was instantly hooked.

After 30 years I finally got to cash in some savings bonds that were given to me and I now have money for my first wheel.  I am so excited.  I am new to spinning, have only been doing it about a month or so on a drop spindle, but am so addicted.

I do way too many crafts (knitting, scrapbooking, cardmaking, spinning, soap making, etc), but this one is so relaxing to me and something that I look forward to doing.

So which one should I get?  Pros or cons on either?  Single or double treadle?  WooLee winder or not on the Fricke?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
