I made a shower costume for this halloween!



The skirt was a pleated shower curtain skirt with snaps to keep it on! 



The breast plate is made from a shower no-skid pat and ties up in the back! The belt is from a disassembled loofa, and there's a loofa scrunchie in my hair, too that you can't see!

To make the skirt, I folded the pleats in place, pinned it, and then just said "screw it" and tacked the tops of the pleats in place with hand stiching.  The great thing about the shower curtain material is that you can just crease the pleats from the waist tacked stiching, and the crease will hold the pleat in place.  Really not much sewing!  I was going to add an elastic waistband to the skirt, but found that it would stay up fine and be more comfortable if I just used snaps.  So the skirt is snapped together (just two at the waist) and then covered up some by my loofah belt!

But the trick here was that it used to say "Michigan Theater" and I wanted to edit out the theater part because I'm not and never was a Theater major (I think I recieved this size L tee when I was wayyyy younger)

Anywho, so you can see there's a seem across the bust, which is actually sort of flattering!
