2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Pottery, Ceramics, etc: Discussion and Questions / Help needed for a full body cast? on: November 11, 2010 03:57:36 AM
Hey guys! For an art project I'm wanting to take a full body cast, to make a mould that could be used with food substances. Anybody got any ideas how I can do this haha?

I was thinking about taking the moulds in small sections, like limb by limb, but in the same position, using alginate and modrock (plastercast) as setter. Then to take a plaster paris cast from that, but then I haven't the foggiest what I could use to make a re-usable food safe mould after.

Am I just making this too complicated? haha

Cheers for your time reading this babble and any help offered  Smiley

Heya thanks for te cooments :p I used like cheapo silky stuff and i musta used about 4 meters for the skirt and bodice then i got 2 meters of the red cheapo silky stuff. oh and i used about 6 meters (folded over) for the taffita under skirt and a meter and a half of plastic boning. Then a meter of lining for inside the bodice and an invisable zip placed at the side. Ive done a little drawing thing if it helps Smiley
