1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / More creepy cute on: August 22, 2009 06:03:09 PM
I've been making these from the book "Creepy Cute Crochet" and raffling them off to my students (I teach middle school, and although I never thought 12-year-olds would openly express a preference for crocheted amigurumi, I was wrong wrong wrong, and happy to be so!).  The Day of the Dead couple I'm giving to my coworker, who teaches Spanish Immersion.

Hope you like!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my first ever post AND project on: August 22, 2009 05:55:06 PM
Well, I took a sewing class at the nearby university craft center, and the instructor freaked me out so much I never went back and never finished my skirt.  That was in 2006.  This summer I had loads of time on my hands, so thought: why not dig out unfinished skirt?   I managed to put in a zipper--I'm rilly rilly proud.

I trimmed it with what I call dingleballs and the disapproving lady at the craft store calls ball fringe, but truly, I don't see much of a difference there.  My facial expression is very weird, sorry about that.

Hope you like it!  Comments appreciated!

3  Oregon / Oregon: Southwest / Crochet tutors in Eugene on: September 10, 2006 06:31:52 PM
Hi, I'm in Eugene and want to learn to crochet.  I've knit for about three years and bought the latest Stoller opus, but just am not getting it...I wondered if anyone wanted to get together for some crafting and would agree to tutor me on the basics of crochet.  Thanks, if any of y'all are out there!
