1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Entrelac and Noro Scarf on: January 27, 2008 09:37:37 PM
It's been a long time since I've made myself some scarves and I'm very excited about these.  I've gotten tons of compliments on both so it makes it hard to decide which one to wear in the morning.

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Socks on: January 11, 2008 06:20:11 PM
I finally made my first pair of socks.  I bought this yarn because it was described as self striping.  To me, these are not stripes.  I was expecting thicker stripes.  I was disappointed in the color, but love how soft the yarn is.

I also made a pair of yoga socks for someone at work and I can't wait to make a pair for myself.

3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Ladybug Invitations on: December 08, 2007 11:24:57 AM
My daughter's first birthday is next week and I made these ladybug invitations for her party.  I found the idea from this
book.  It is a great book for inspiration and ideas.

Here is the outside of the invitations:

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My Anthropologie knockoff hat on: October 28, 2007 06:06:50 PM
I am very excited to have finally come up with my own pattern.  I found this hat the other day and loved it but not the price.  So after many pages of notes and frogging, this is what I came up with.

I used Bernat Alpaca Natural Blends in cream and brown.  Next time I think I would make the hat a little longer (it is really short in the back) and use a lighter color for the top of the hat.  With the brown color, the cables just don't show up well.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Hoodie on: October 05, 2007 08:25:43 PM
My sister just had her second baby last month and she kept hinting about this hoodie so I had to make it for her.  I found the pattern in Special Knits by Debbie Bliss.  It was a simple, easy to follow pattern and easier to sew together than I expected.  I made the 3-6 month size.  My 10 month old daughter is modeling and it is a little too big on her.  The gauge is pretty accurate, the baby is just tiny for her age.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Blanket on: September 30, 2007 10:29:22 AM
It's been a long time since I've finished a project and posted it.  I had my doubts many times while working on this blanket, but after blocking (which I've never done before and am in love with!) and adding the fabric, I'm very happy with the way it turned out.  I found the pattern in Alterknits by Leigh Radford.  The only modification I would make next time would be to pick up and add all the borders.  It makes a cleaner edge and it's easier to attach the fabric.

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Football Hat on: May 26, 2007 08:00:08 PM
I know six people having babies this summer, so I decided I should probably start working on gifts or I'd run out of time.  I found this pattern in Itty-Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson. It was so easy and only took me a couple of hours. This book is full of great hats.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Another Faux Dotty Scarf on: May 20, 2007 01:13:36 PM
Ever since I saw this scarf (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=129348.msg1254636#msg1254636) I have wanted to make one.  It took me awhile, but I am finally finished.  The stitch is very easy to do.  The only part I didn't like was weaving in all the ends!  I had mixed feelings about my color choices, but now that it is finally done, I love it.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitty's Nakiska on: March 29, 2007 07:51:04 AM
After finally finishing all my projects for other people, I decided to make something for myself.  I made Knitty's Nakiska and it was a lot of fun to do.  And very quick.  I had some extra Simply Soft laying around and it worked out great.  I would probably make it a little bigger next time.  It doesn't stretch very much with the cables.

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Scrapbook punch embellishments on: February 28, 2007 12:54:46 PM
Does anyone else look at all the scrapbook punches and think of all the things they can be used for and then keep on walking because they so expensive?  Would anyone be interested in a punch swap?  We could all fill a small sized jar (baby food jar/spice jar) with punched out embellishments from our own stash of punches and then send the jar to someone else. That way we would have another collection of scrapbook embellishments without having to buy more punches?  Anyone interested?
