1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Springtime on Discworld Gallery on: April 01, 2007 12:37:18 PM
I love all the stuff so far Smiley

And Phantomssiren, don't worry, your package did not vanish. It arrived safely at my home and I love it Grin.
Sadly, my internet connection did disappear for a while. But it is back now, so behold the great stuff I got:

Two Sam Vimes coffee cozies, so I never have to walk around the lab with naked coffee anymore. One says 'fabricati diem, punc' and the other 'red desert special Klatchian coffee'.
I also got a lilac Perdita cuff to show my allegiance to the Glorious People's Republic of Treacle Mine Road.

Phantomssiren also sent me two shirts.
A Feegle one:

And one for Lady Sybil's Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons, featuring the best dragon ever: Errol!  Grin
and the back:

Errol close-up:

I love everything so much  Kiss It made me twirl around my room in a very un-Vimes-like way.
I can only hope you like my package as much as I like yours. Thank you!

2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Reading Rainbow Book/Craft Swap Gallery on: March 18, 2007 05:18:02 AM
This week I found two packages in my mailbox: one from Angry Angel Grin, and one from me to her, dubbed undeliverable by the postal services Undecided.
So, after promptly sending the latter to the UK again, I ran back home and opened the first. This is what I found:

1. The book: The Northern Lights by Philip Pullman
2. an amazing crocheted bag, inspired by the northern lights. I love it Grin
3. A cute crocheted bookmark in the shape of Pantalaimon
4. A little book about butterflies

Thank you so much! I feel really spoiled now Smiley
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Mushroom swap Round 2~gallery of FUN-gus! on: February 25, 2007 01:43:03 PM
Yay! I received a great package from Saralynne Grin

Here is everything together:

A very cute totebag, which has promptly taken its place as my new bag-to-use-for-everything, two mushroom patches and three great crocheted champignons. O, and a book about non-flowering plants and mushrooms to use for decoupage, but I think I love it too much to cut into pieces....

This must be my favourite page:

Thanks so much Saralynne!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Free pattern downloads!! Alexander McQueen, Galliano and Yamamoto on: February 14, 2007 12:27:03 PM
Thanks tipassoi. That gives me some idea abotu how much (if any) i would need to alter about the size of the pattern. I planned on making a testversion as well, since the sleeves on many patterns are a bit too short for my taste Roll Eyes

Oo, I love all those jackets Kiss. Can't wait until I have a sewing machine once again Grin
But I do have one question...eehm...maybe this is obvious to everyone else... but what is the size of the finished garment? Or how do I adapt it to fit me? Huh I would love for these clothes not to be purely ornamental.
Sorry for asking this on such an old thread, but I could not find the answer by using the search option

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: What are wists? on: January 29, 2007 02:51:33 AM
Wists are also quite handy when you want to find out which things or what styles someone likes. This is really nice when you are doing a swap, for example.

My own wist really does not contain so many things I am likely to receive/buy/make in real life (oh, if only...), but they might give other people soem ideas about the things I like in general
