1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Photo altering website on: January 20, 2008 09:51:36 AM
A while back somewhere on craftster someone posted a website that they used to turn their photos into pencil drawings. I thought I saved it but it is gone? I thought someone might remember what it was.  Thanks  Sue
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Changing background in image to put on white shirt? on: December 15, 2006 08:09:46 AM
I have an image I want to put on a white shirt with iron on transfer, the problem is that it has a dark blue background, with green letters. Does anyone know if there is a program that I can use to change the background to white?  My son is pretty computer literate and he was at a loss.  My only option so far is to cut each letter out individually.  Thanks Sue
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Box-O-Bucks??? on: November 30, 2006 11:22:37 AM
I'm not sure if this is in the right place or not, I'm looking for directions for making a box-o-bucks.  It is basically a small box and you fold paper money up and put it in and it comes out kind of like tissue from a box.  I kind of have the general idea but wondered if anyone has made this before.  I am trying to find unique way to give cash for Christmas this year. Thanks   Sue
4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / roll up sewing kit? on: November 06, 2006 11:38:13 AM
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am looking for a pattern/tute for a roll up type sewing kit.   It is for my sister who can't/won't sew .  Her idea of hemming pants is to use a stapler.  I thought if I gave her a cute kit with basic supplies she would have somewhere to start.  Thanks   Sue
5  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Home made spinning wheel?? on: October 02, 2006 03:18:20 PM
Has anyone made their own spinning wheel?   There are many drop spindle instructions around and was just wondering if it's possible, and if it is -how to go about it.  Thanks
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Felting with handspun coil yarn? on: September 22, 2006 07:39:36 AM
I just love the look of the yarn with coils and was wondering if anyone has used it to make anything they have felted?? Does it come out kind of nubby?  That's what I am hoping, I want to make a bag or purse with some and then felt it.
