Here is the C card I sent to mamaedgar. She's having a bit of scanner problems so I told her I'd post it for her. It's a mug with hot coffee.

On the back: And he only does it because he knows it bugs me!

-----------------------

Fold back the cover to reveal the whole secret:

"Inspired by secrets from the last rounds. I'm trying to find an old friend i've always worried about. He started (or at very least claimed to be) doing a lot of drugs. The last time I saw him (over 4 years ago). I'm scared shitless that he wont remember me or he does and hates me for trying to find him."

My scans are awesome and they're clear, so does anyone know why they look so awful when I post them here? It's not cool!

I received more!

I've never (intentionally) stolen from any job before so I can't really relate, but I did WANT to take one of everything when I worked at an office supply store! haha

how funny that I got this one! I'm in a stage of my life where I almost feel that- and the sender and I have very similar handwriting, too, so it was pretty cool that I'm the one who received it Wink It was almost like reading my own secret lol

Note to sender: I couldn't quite make out the number on the back of this. If you could PM haroldlovesmaude and let her know, then you'll get credit for it) This secret says: "I wish I were the best at one thing rather than mediocre at everything. Especially music." I can totally relate to this. Until very recently, I never really had a "thing" that was mine; a "thing" that I'm good at. I hope that one day you'll find your "thing" Smiley

I don't know what to say about this one. I never felt that way. Must have been sad though... I'm glad that it sounds like it's a thing of the past and not something that you do today!!

on the back it says: "actual signage from the drugstore at the base of the Empire State Building". This one made me laugh really hard! Bad spelling drives me up the wall, too! hahaha It was very fitting for me to receive this one. Even my husband said so!

I received 6 cards today! It was a great mixture of funny, silly, and really sad. On to the cards:

This is awesome Cheesy Very good to hear, too!

YES! Kids books rock. This one made me laugh a lot. I prefer them, as well.

It says, " I've watched every episode, many times, every commentary, bonus feature, and outtake for all 7 seasons, but I think as long as I stay away from the conventions and fan fic, I can still believe that my obsession falls on this side of healthy." I'm sorry to say that I know know what show this is from! I'm going to guess Buffy... (Checked online by doing a google image search and my guess was right!). I've watched all the episodes, commentary, and extras of Friends and several other TV shows. I hope I'm on "this side of healthy", too Wink

I don't really know what to say about this one  Huh. It's a very touching secret, but I just can't put anything into words.  Undecided

It says, "The hardest part wasn't leaving him...It was knowing I'd never see his little sister again. She cried every time I went home after visiting. She's the one I let down." On the back, it says, "She drew this for me." This secret is also really touching, but again, I can't put how it makes me feel into words.

On the back, this card says, "It kills me that I got on the flight. I love you. I miss you." This card gives me chills. When I first read it, I just sat in my car speechless. I can't imagine the pain you must feel, sender. I don't even understand what happened exactly, but the card is still heartbreaking Sad

My Y and Z cards arrived! They are both so wonderful! I'm really happy to end the alphabet with these two cards! They're so pretty!

From dazee (This picture is just awful, but the card is beautiful. I can't believe she's a beginner at ATCs! I just love it!).. Y is for "Yawl: 1. a ship's small boat, rowed by a crew of four or six. 2. a two-masted, fore-and-aft-rigged sailing vessel having a large mainmast and a smaller jiggermast or mizzenmast stepped abaft the sternpost":

Next is the Z card from qazicat! I LOVE how creative this is!! The zipper unzips to reveal the letter Z on zebra print! It's so creative Smiley

19  Re: panta! (from a finnish pattern). in Knitting: Completed Projects by PaperBag on: October 11, 2007 07:04:28 AM
I know this post hasn't been active for a few months, but I just found it and made my first panta. Damn, I read a lot of you said it was just an evening project- I must be a REALLY slow knitter because it took me at least 10 hours. I mean, I knew I was a slow knitter since I"m new, but still.  Tongue

I used bamboo needles size 5 (US) and a very soft blend of alpaca and something (the ball band is in Japanese so I can't exactly read it lol). It took less than a 40g ball to make. I'm going to be making more of these. It's a great first project Smiley
