1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Basic Sock pattern for a 4 year old on: December 06, 2007 04:56:07 PM
I'm having a hard time finding a basic sock pattern for a 4 year old.  She prefers ankle socks but at this point anything will do!  The only patterns I can find are for adults, babies or children 6 and up.  I'm not very good at making adjustments to patterns to make them smaller or bigger.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / looking quick knit patterns for people who get bored easily on: January 17, 2007 12:35:19 PM
i love to knit but get bored very easily.  so i prefer to knit things that are small or use chunkier yarns, large needles etc.  i recently made http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTcalorimetry.html in SIX different colors in a larger gauge yarn of course so i only had to cast on 60 stitches and knit up half the rows.  anyone else like me?  what's your favorite pattern or book to use?  thanks for sharing!
