I love how the cherries work when it's open and when it's closed both. If I was a mom I would totally want one!

Ooh I love the corduroy. I'll definitely have to try that on my next project. And it's really well put together. Great job!

Those are beautifully made! On the inside of the first one, is that a piece of ribbon connecting to one of those hook things? I'm thinking of putting one of those in the bag I'm making for my mom but I never thought of putting it on ribbon. That would certainly make things easier!

I am DEFINITELY not laughing. Your fabrics are awesome and I love love -love- your little felt flower. Super cute. Great job!

The only thing I like better than your bag is the thread title. That is absolutely ADORABLE!

I love the colors too. That green is amazing! Very spring-y.

That first fabric is amazing. Very very pretty bags!

Thanks for the nice comments. Smiley I learned A LOT so I think my next one won't take nearly as long (I hope). The lining is satin (Atom Red, I think it was called) and shed like no fabric I've ever seen. My house is -covered- in red strings right now. Still fun though, and I agree with all the people I've seen who've said it: This is definitely going to be an addictive hobby.

You guys have been inspiring me for months (over a year, maybe?) and I finally got around to making my own bag. The fact that my old one was turning into little shreds of fabric helped too... So this is my first finished bag and my first finished sewing machine project in general (note the "finished" part). I'm happy with it, although I have already discovered some things that I'd like to fix. And a plug for this thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=11808.0. This was honestly one of the best tutorials I've ever followed.

Outside (sorry for the quality =/):

Pens/pencils and "unmentionable" zipper pockets:

Thanks for looking. Smiley

I LOVE this tutorial. I'd never made a zipper pocket before (or worked with a zipper at all, for that matter) and my pockets turned out beautifully. Thank you so much!!
