1  Grab the Brass Earrings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by FineGirl on: April 09, 2007 01:54:12 PM
I was going through my stash of findings, and I came across some awesome, hand hammered brass rings that I bought a while ago. I also had a few pieces of sterling silver chain that I thought were too short to be any good.

So, I decided to put 'em together, and this is what I got....

I love it when stuff just kinda works out.

2  Whoo hoo~ Figured out zippers. in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by FineGirl on: April 01, 2007 08:52:25 AM
It took me a loooooong time, but i finally figured out how to put a zipper into a purse in a way that looks good and actually works.

I made the beige purse for my mom. I like the navy, red and white one better. I still have lots of that fabric left, so I'm going to make a larger purse with it and put some pockets inside. Smiley

I am soooo digging this wrapping wire around recycled bits and pieces. I love, love the look of the pieces I've created this way.....here is my latest.

Plus, I made a couple sales over the last few days! Hooray. Although, one was a PIF. LOL

4  Spring Loaded II in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by FineGirl on: January 27, 2007 12:35:26 PM
I really liked the Spring Loaded Pendant I made out of the reclaimed curtain rod ring, so I decided to try a bit of a variation. This time I left the top loop unwrapped to get a more two toned look. And I used a different kind of button. I think I like this one better!

6  From Curtain Rod Ring to Uber cool Pendant. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by FineGirl on: January 23, 2007 04:23:07 AM
Just wanted to show off this pendant a bit. It is made from a curtain rod ring, a reclaimed button and sterling silver wire. I love the way it turned out. It is called the Spring Loaded Pendant....

I also made this keychain from reclaimed buttons and a reclaimed belt buckle. It is called The Nautical Keychain

8  Red Evening Bag - sort of image heavy in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by FineGirl on: November 06, 2006 06:35:37 AM
I made this a few weeks ago. I love it. It is a modified "Jordy" bag with spaghetti strap handles. I made the felt flower that is in the bottom left hand corner and it is sewn on. The button closure is a vintage black glass and rhinestone button.

9  I just spent a gazillion hours on this..... in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by FineGirl on: November 05, 2006 10:24:22 AM
I attached individual jump rings together to make the chain for this choker necklace. It took me forever. I just wanted to share because my husband and kids totally don't appreciate it LOL!!  Smiley

10  purse/tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by FineGirl on: September 11, 2006 03:36:48 PM
I am hooked on making bags and purses now. My husband thinks I am nuts. This is my third ever purse/tote. Its kinda like a cross between a tote and a purse. I managed to make some pockets this time and a pen holder. Its pretty plain on the outside - but I made it for my mom and she likes plain. I had some fun with the inside thought. Wink Its made out of place mats for the outside and part of an old sheet for the inside.

What do you think?

I really have to learn how to put a zipper in next. I think I'm gonna try making a messanger bag with a zipper. Wish me luck.
