my bf is going to be living on his own for the 1st time. he's rented a house and will be moving in on saturday. i'd love to send him a sort of care package cuz i know he's too excited about moving in that he won't think of some things like um, groceries lol i'd like to hear ur thoughts about what i'm thinking of gathering up tomorrow and if u have any suggestions that'd be great!!!! (i won't be sending *everything* cuz i don't have that much money, but a few things off the list)
btw he has lived away from home before but he had roommates. so he has some things, mostly just what u'd keep in your bedroom. everything else his roommates already had. oh yah, and he's not really picky (yay!)
-a kleenex box, a roll of tp, and a roll of paper towel -paper plates/plastic cutlery (not sure when he'll be getting real plates and stuff) -a calendar -band-aids -a deck of cards -a cheap wall clock -batteries -some food. something homemade that can be frozen for later but i haven't decided what. and chocolate chip cookies.
**** -what are some things i could get him to start off his groceries??? -what can i send him to make it more "home-y" -besides cards, what else can i send so he has something to do? ****
i agree it definitely gets rid of cramps. i've only used it a little bit, for that reason, but it changed the guage of my knitting and i started knitting a lot slower. so i don't recommend trying continental in the middle of a project lol i plan on trying to knit something entirely continental soon, but i haven't found the right project.
that's so cute! i never thought of birds as animals that would want something snuggly before (this makes me want a pet bird hehe maybe when i get a steady job i will look into it) that's great that he actually usues it on his own too. i've made stuff for my pets only to have them be like totally disinterested. it's disappointing! what awesome gratification that ur little birdie snuggles in it.
