1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Starting over after negative feedback on: June 08, 2010 09:51:04 AM
Hi Smiley I could do with some advice. I was a regular poster and swapper, also friend of Craftster, but I went though a very bad time with illness and marriage breakdown, and could not complete a few swaps, hence I received justified neg feedback.  It's been a couple of years now and I have the all clear health wise and taking crafting back up. I would love to start swapping again, but worried my neg feedback will prevent me doing so.  Would my fellow crafters be willing to give me another chance or could I prove myself by being an angel? love to hear peoples thoughts x
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Plus Size Dressform Recommendation in UK? on: April 13, 2008 01:52:32 PM
I am looking to buy a plus size dressform and wondered if anyone can recommend a website or shop.  It doesn't have to be all singing and dancing, but just adjustable.

Any advice welcome.

I found these poor cute (and very dusty) in a local charity shop.

A good polish, some pretty scarlet organza ribbon and a tin of metalic gloss enamel later and.....

Va va voommm!

And added an uber cute spotty heart at the back for a bit of detail.

Love to know what you all think.

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Fancy Pants Swap Anyone? on: March 03, 2008 05:33:51 AM
Would anyone be interested in doing a Fancy Pants Swap?

I have just looked in my knicker draw and I need some new snazzy pants!

The pants (knickers) can be made from scratch or plain ones shop bought and decorated.  You give 5 themes you love and your partner chooses 1 option to decorate them in the theme, so it's a suprise but it means you don't get Dogs when you like Cats!

Other things can be included in the theme (panty pads, cami tops, bras), but it would essentially be a 1 item swap of high quality (i.e...wearable panties without them dropping to bits ...or it could cause embarrassment or cold bums hehe)

Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll get it going in a couple of weeks

8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Malteaser Bites on: March 31, 2007 12:17:23 PM
OMG this is delicious and any chocoholic will love it.

100g margarine
6 tbsps syrup
250g cooking chocolate
200g crushed digestive biscuits
200g crushed Malteasers

Melt margarine and syrup and chocolate over heat. When it's all melted, take off the heat and add crushed biscuits and Malteasers, then mix really well. Spread into a lined greased swiss roll tin. Chill in the fridge then cut up into small squares. Keep refridgerated.

This can also be frozen.
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Punk it Up Swap on: March 07, 2007 11:14:36 AM
OOo I love all things Punk.  I am not talking about the watered down nu punk of today (ok...some of it is ok..lol) but the 1970's UK Punk.  Think Vivienne Westwood, Sex Pistols, The Clash, tartan and leopard print, safety pins, patches, bondage pants and tutus, fishnet, neon colours and mohawks.

You can make anything from clothing (and lets face it, you don't need great sewing skills for punk wear) jewellery, ATC, bags or things you wouldn't normally think of punky like...aprons, pin cushions, tea cosies, stuffies.... anything!

Punk it up!

Whos in?
