Wow that is freaking amazing.

Must...craft brains out... deadline Monday... *dies*

(my own fault for not being done before Father's Day weekend, I know, but my procrastinating self just can't be helped)

My partner's package is split, because of life issues getting her down lately (sick hubby, sick dog, poor thing). So she sent me her medium items, and they're all really great.



First, we have a space invaders potholder and a can/bottle cozy with potion bottles from Nintendo & Zelda. These are super awesome! I've been wanting one of these potholders for a while, and the cozy thing is just too cute. The above is the "A" side...



...and that's the "B" side. 



She also sent me a "Jar of Whimsies" (though not technically a jar, it is full of whimsies). There's a ton of colorful feathers, some rocks, beads, tiny cards, clay, and more. It's all very cute. The feathers are trying to escape and make new homes around my house.

I did one like this a few months ago, and it was fun. What they did so that international people could be included was use a standard size of envelope (like 8.5" x 11") instead of a particular US flat rate envelope. Plus, with it being just fabric, it usually ends up being cheaper to mail that way.

I'm so down. I need to get rid of some junk stuff.

My godfather and his wife had a baby a couple of months ago, and I'm finally getting around to sending them their present. I am a horrible procrastinator. On the bright side, the baby is just getting to the point where he likes to lay on his belly and wiggle, so it's the perfect time for a taggie blanket.



Both the parents are disney freaks, so the top is this adorable Mickey Mouse print. My godfather is also a huge hockey fan (he and my dad played on their college team together) so I added some little hockey ribbons as a shared interest kind of thing. I'm sure the baby will have skates by the time he's 3 years old.



The top is cotton and the bottom is fleece. It's very squishy & soft. I'm really pleased with how it came out, though it took FOREVER to arrange the ribbons how I wanted them. The only problem is that the X in the middle to "quilt" the blanket is off center (because I was incapable to sewing in a straight line that day).



For my first taggie, I'm pretty happy with it 

 

I'm glad you liked it all. I was really nervous about the purse and the pouch - both being firsts.

(I'm want to steal that puppy. That ball of fluff is just too adorable, I have to snatch 'em up for myself!)
