11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Tubby, the knitted bathtub (Many silly pics) on: June 04, 2008 03:10:03 PM
i'm so in love with mochimochiland!  i love this post so much because not only is the knitted item in question adorable and well made, i have learned that i am not a freak for thinking jareth is a hottie!  i had such a crush on him when i was a kid, and everyone looked at me like i was crazy!  now i just realize that it's my friends that are crazy!  ;-)

i love this top!  and your other lacy top!  both are in my queue.  i totally couldn't remember how to spell queue for a second!

i definitely can't take credit for the pattern!  eunny wrote it very very clearly and it was as if she were holding my hand the whole time...  cheezy, i know.

thanks everyone!  i'm blushing over here...  it's a really really well written pattern, and you could easily alter the depth of the v-neck if necessary.  i'm planning on making another one, this time incorporating skulls.  i've seen this on craftster before, but i can't seem to find it right now.

super awesome sweater!  and the zipper idea that saved it all was genius.

btw, you say it's getting fuzzy?  i highly recommend investing in a sweater shaver.  they cost like 5 bucks at target and they can make your sweater look like new!  repeat as often as necessary!  i find that yarn tends to fuzz a lot in the first few wears, and then after a  few shavings it calms down...

this looks fantastic!  add me to the "i keep meaning to knit this for my man" category...  of course, now it's finally getting warm here, so i think i have a while before i need to start.
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my deep-v argyle vest... finally! on: May 16, 2008 02:14:18 PM
so i started this last year, but what with christmas presents and wedding presents and just plain laziness, i didn't finish it until earlier this month.  first time crochet steeking and boy was that scary!  this is also the first garment i've made for myself where i'm completely happy with the fit.  well, not completely, since i wish the shoulders were a bit more narrow, but happy enough that i've already worn it a few times!

my gauge was waaaay off, and i had to go up four needle sizes to get a fabric i liked.  i had to fudge  alot on the row gauge, and i knit a size 52" to fit my 42" bust.

pattern: eunny jang's deep v argyle
yarn: knitpicks merino style
needles: US 8's
