1  CANADA / Atlantic Canada / I thought this was cool! on: February 14, 2009 11:34:02 AM
hi!

I was looking around for a summer job and stumble upon the Ecology Action Centre website! I thought something there were so cool and I thought the Halifax craftsters may want to come and check it out! I am going to try to check it out! The Ecology Action Centre has a completely knitting coral reef in the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History! It was made in partnership with The Loop in Halifax and is on display to Feb 28! Check it out on their website http://www.ecologyaction.ca

I am in no afflicted with either place, I am just trying to share this very cool opportunity with craftsters!

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My Mom's Mother Day Present! on: July 14, 2008 12:10:13 PM
Hi!
I know I'm little late posting my mom's mother day present but I'm busy girl! lol I did make this for mother's day for my mom! It may have been 9:00pm mother's day that i finished it but better late then never! She loved it Smiley Here are the pictures:

It is really a simple multi-strand necklace but those beads are small so it took some time to put them on the string!

here is a close up of the pendant on the necklace! My mom picked it out Smiley

here is the sentimental packaging i put it in! It is a mini plastic bag with a slip of paper in it!

I wish i rotated this pictures before uploaded them! oh well! Smiley

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet jewelery the next biggest thing? (image heavy) on: September 05, 2006 11:21:06 AM
I recently went to the mall and purchased a necklace from smart set for 99 cent (I'm really proud of my purchase) and I was looking at the receipt and it said "crochet beaded necklace" on it. I was even more excited about the necklace becuase I know how to crochet. So Here is a picture of a the necklace:

Do you see the beads that are all colourful those are actually crochet and here is couple close ups of the beads:
(sorry they are a litte blurry) I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this? Because I love the beads covered with crochet. I have been dying to know how to this! Thank you in advance for your help!  Cheesy

Also to show off a necklace I crochet myself:

This necklace was surprisingly easy to do it took me one night! Here is the pattern http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60043.html Its free and super easy. It also looks great when it is done! I wear it whenever I get the chance
