1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Paper Rose on: January 03, 2011 04:04:10 PM
It's pink and purple and has shiny dots on it, and about 4.5" in diameter. Looks overly voluptuous, but I love it!

Look me about 3 hours including painting and stamping the background, not a bad result for first try Smiley

I used this tutorial to make the flower:

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Wise Sayings Hanging Tags on: October 14, 2009 06:16:43 AM
In their previous life, these hanging tags used to be a cardboard box. I had so much fun making them! Enjoy the photos!

They measure approximately 6" x 3"

All three together:

"Cherish every moment"

"Love the simple things in life"

"Count your blessings each day"

The backs:

The colours are a little brighter than they appear in photos  Undecided

C&c always appreciated, thanks for looking  Kiss

Have a nice day!  Cheesy
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My first "proper" cards! *edited: another card* ^^ on: August 03, 2009 05:00:24 AM
I made them for my MIL and SIL. Will probably upload more photos over the next few days  Wink

I never thought of myself as a pink person, but it seems to be featuring a lot on my scrapbooking projects  Roll Eyes

Enjoy! Thanks for looking!

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / WIP: Art mini album {IMG MORBIDLY OBESE} on: June 26, 2009 05:51:02 AM
This is going to be my make-myself-feel-good favourite quotes album. I think I will take it slow and really enjoy the process of creating my first full blown mini album  Smiley  Besides, if I buy all the things that I want for this baby, I shall have racked a bill worthy of a heart attack  Roll Eyes   First toy that I bought was a Dymo, and I am sooooooo happy with it!

It has 21 "leaves" which gives me about 42 pages to experiment to my hearts content Grin  It is 11 cm x 11 cm (approx 4.4 inches) Enough babbling, here are some photos of the more interesting pages.

Front cover:

Front and back covers:

Inside front cover: Yes, those are mini clothespins:

Envelope pocket:

Recycled paper from junkmail and a mini flipcard thing:

Last page, another recycled page which in its former life was the husband's time sheet:

Back cover:

The tutorial for the envelope pockets is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj85KIIAU4U& I have no words for how awesome Marion from apieceofcraft.com is.

I still have a lot to learn, not to mention more scrap things to buy, *sigh* I would like to get some more embelishments. And a crop-a-dile. The front and back cover would look just perfect with eyelets. The word "art" are wooden letters that I found and painted, in the kids craft section of a stationary shop, well worth a look in my humble opinion, one can always find some good things there that can be easily altered.

Thankyou so much looking! Comments, criticism and more ideas are always appreciated!  Kiss

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Elephants + Inchies = <3 on: April 25, 2009 05:18:47 PM
I had a sad little shadowbox which needed some background love:

I got into making inchies recently after drooling over Phizzychick's inchies and much stalking  Wink So I came up with these, being my 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th inchies ever!  Grin

And here's what they look like in their new home:

Gratuitous 1st inchie shot  Grin (My initials)

I'm still meh about the exterior and the bottom left inchie, but I like it. Will probably jazz up the outside with paint. Comments and crit appreciated! Thanks for looking!

I've already posted them in another forum, so won't repost the photos ...

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / These Pretzels ... Are Making Me THIRSTY!!! [With "pattern" on pg 4] on: February 19, 2009 06:03:31 AM
heehee  Roll Eyes

The hubby and I recently finished watching all the seasons of Seinfeld, so this called for a tribute to our marathon. Inspired of course by: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rubykhan/2811826948/ I didn't lahv the original minipop version of Seinfeld (http://www.flipflopflyin.com/minipops/ ) so I came up with my own  Grin

I'm not sure if it's complete yet, I think I will cross stich some pretzels in the corners. It is 11 count Aida, I think. All I had on hand at the moment

Thankyou for looking! Comments and criticism always appreciated  Cheesy

9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Mini Accordion Album for my Mom on: January 23, 2009 04:32:25 AM
oooh, lots of alliteration in the subject! makes me heppy!  Roll Eyes sorry, there should be a dorky smiley for such purposes!

So, I live in UK, and I haven't seen my family in about a year. Ma's birthday was coming up, so I decided something special was due!

Hope you like it, I loved every second of making it, and I can see this too becoming an addiction. It took ages because i wanted every page to be just purrrfect, and distressing every itty bit bit of paper took a while. (first time distressing, did not use ink, I used diluted acrylics and a sponge) So here goes ...

It is embellished with beads, sequins, gems, glitter glue, the celtic motif on the front i cut out with a craft knife and hand sponged, foam punchouts, and of course photographs from my wedding and photos of my last few days at home in Pakistan. The paper I used was green cardstock and Papermania's Retro Floral paper. The finished album is about 2.3" x 2.3" x 0.7"

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / IKEA hack MACKIS and Elephant Shadow Box Frame [SERIOUSLY img heavy] on: January 13, 2009 06:57:35 AM
Don't you just love it when your signifcant other says "yes, you can make this prettier!" ? Oh well i tried, maybe they're still  WIP, what do you guys think?

hehe, i found the celtic stencil thingy on the internet, so i printed it out (yes, ordinary printer paper) and then cut it out with a craft knife, and then sponged silver acrylic paint on to give it a slightly texturized feel:

and here's what i ended up with:

and all filled up with icky bills:

oooh, and the spraycan leaked so i hadta take a picture of that  Embarrassed:

and the photoframe with methinks needs a little something extra in the back, maybe a foam E or an elephant or tree silhouette, or maybe cordinating dragonflies. it's about 4.5"x4.5" and the elephants my father got from Sri Lanka. mmmm, will sit on that one a bit, but would appreciate some ideas:

and I couldn't bear to throw the stencil printer paper away, so i cut the shapes out for embellishing future projects  Smiley

I also can't decide whether or not I would like to border the organiser's edges with a dark chocolate to make it pop a little, but meh, not sure. the spray painting job's not perfect because i ran out, and didn't want to get another one.  Comments are always welcome  Smiley Thankyou for looking!
