61  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Fulled Basket on: June 01, 2005 07:12:13 AM
I just crocheted and fulled (felted) a basket! I was planning on using it to keep my current projects in, but I think it might turn into a cat bed..

Please excuse the lighting and slight fuzziness, I couldn't get the pictures to look as good as the basket does..

63  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Easy sewing projects for an absolute beginner on: May 31, 2005 05:45:09 PM
I got a sewing machine for Christmas last year, and I've still yet to really use it! I'm a little afraid of it, frankly.

I need some project ideas to get me started. I have little faith in my abilities, but as with most things, I'm probably more able than I think I am. So basically, I need some really easy stuff that I can do and then look at and say "Wow, so I CAN do it!"

I'm interested in just about anything. Reconstructions or patterns or just winging it from a tutorial, I just need something.
64  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / India Ink on: September 03, 2004 02:20:13 PM
I'm taking a Design class in college, and we're using india ink. My professor said to be reallly careful with it, because it stains clothes like crazy. And that got me thinking: could I use india ink to write on- stuff? Anything? Clothes? Only cotton? Myself?

I realize that's a really odd question, but I thought someone here just might know..

Thanks in advance  Grin
