131  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: machine is sooo loud... on: September 03, 2006 06:40:39 AM
Thanks so much! I finally got up the courage to get my machine out last night and it wasn't near as loud as I thought it was. I guess I was just having memories of my mom's old machine that she used on the wobbly kitchen table.

I put a folded towel under it and it worked great.

It's a Kenmore and I love it. It's very lightweight and perfect for an amateur sewer like myself!

Thanks again!!! Grin

Dunno if you had the party yet, but...

When my husband was in college, his dorm had a Nintendo party. They got together and made sure they had EVERY single Nintendo console ever made there. I think the only thing they couldn't find was the Virtual Boy. It was really neat.

I hope I put this into the right place... first post  Smiley

For Christmas last year, my mother-in-law bought me a wonderful new sewing machine. I didn't have one before and had been using her's or my mom's.

Well, I just moved into an apartment with paper-thin walls, and I'm afraid to use it. It's so loud, it rattles the walls! But I looove sewing so much. I just don't want to piss the neighbors off. Any suggestions?
