I am going as a student from the House of Awesome ( see the whomping willows on myspace if you haven't heard the song)

Just a blue sweater, tie, pants, and a scarf. And a badge if I get around to embroidering it.

I am actually excited not to be missing the release, I am in switzerland until july 11th.

does that work with the weird touch pads on creative players?

I wanted to make one too, but I couldn't really be certain that the pad on my zen touch would still work.

It is really really cute, I especially like the color.
14  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / EUROPE / Re: Any Swiss here? on: February 12, 2007 06:42:40 AM
I actually don't normally go into manor (it's slightly out of the budget of an exchange student), but I am sure they are out there somewhere, just not as insanely easy to find as in america.

I did manage to find canvases and paint MEGA cheap a few months ago, so I am spending the sport vacation painting until I can get my hands on a crochet hook and yarn.

Hello everyone!

Well, I am actually an American, but I am currently being an exchange student in the area around Bremgarten.

I was actually going to go to zurich tomorrow to search for a craftstore (gotta love having a GA  Cheesy) It's exciting to know there is one somewhere lol. The migros in Baden doesn't have beads, and neither does Coop. But I will start the hunt tomorrow. I hope to make a ton of amigurumi thingers.

Ciao miteinand

17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Swimsuit from old jeans on: April 20, 2006 02:32:07 PM
My family has put in a pool this year. Normally, I only have one swimsuit, but with our own pool, I need a few more. I was wondering if anyone had ever tried constructing a swimsuit from old jeans. Most of my jeans are stretch denim, which i think would work out really well. Since I am pretty well endowed ( Roll Eyes), I thought I should have more support than the normal swimsuit. Lukilly, I have a ton of underwire from old bras lying around as well.

Does anyone have any advice as to how I'd go about doing this? I was thinking of using http://www.supernaturale.com/articles.html?id=70 <- that as a base  for the bottom, but I am not sure how exactly I want my top.

Are these really easy and quick? Just wondering because I don't have anything for my dad for christmas and I was wondering if I could learn to crochet and make these as kind of a first project.
