1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Cute origami star bracelet on: February 10, 2007 09:41:52 AM
I was looking through my collection of junk, and found some little diamante (sp?) jewels meant to stick on mobile phones, some sheer black ribbon and little sky blue origami stars I made a while ago. I flattened out the star, and poked the ribbon through the little pocket on the top layer. I puffed it up into a star again and put on the other stars. Then I stuck the jewels onto the ribbon in the gaps. This is what I came up with:

My little wooden man modelling the bracelet.

To show how it does up.

Me wearing it.

I don't think I'll actually wear it, but it was fun to make and I was bored Smiley
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Freezer paper - the same as wax paper? on: February 06, 2007 09:50:42 AM
So I've been reading through threads about freezer paper and I know that I won't be able to get it here (Ireland) without ordering online which I don't want to do. I read in one thread that freezer paper was just wax paper, only with wax on ONE side. So, if I got some wax paper and stuck regular paper on one side, then cut out my stencil and blah blah blah would it be the same thing? I'm desperate to try stencilling and I want to get my first try looking good.. hence using the freezer paper.

Edit: I also have one more question. Is there any alternative to spray adhesive? Like any glue you can paint on?
