1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! on: January 07, 2007 08:11:46 AM
according to this website:
http://phorum.haircrazy.info/read.php?7,56

it is possible to fade your haircolor out considerably using a epsom salt bath.

i'm wondering if anyone on here has tried this. i've been dyeing my hair on a biweekly basis for well over a year now and have NEVER heard of this technique. i've just been bleaching. but if this works, it will be revolutionary and wonderful! seeing as my hair is very very very damaged by now and probably pretty close to falling out. it doesn't even really look like hair anymore.. anyway, if anyone has done this i'm wondering:
a) if it works, and
b) what salt : water ratio works well?

if nobody's tried it, i probably will and i'll report back on the results. in my opinion this would be pretty much the best discovery EVER IN THE HISTORY OF FREQUENT DYEING, seeing as bleach is so damaging and it's so hard to acquire true colors without prebleaching. i'm currently at the point where whenever i bleach my hair, it turns inexplicable bright/pale pink. hmmm...

let me know. Smiley

I have dyed reddish brown hair and I want to dye it light blonde.
I dyed my hair last month, and I want to change it back to the original colour: blonde.
So, I included my pictures.
IS IT POSSIBLE?
Thanks. =]

Okay, so I've had these UGLY shoes forever, so I finally did something with them. Originally, I wrote things on them with sharpie, but then I painted them with acrylics.
I'll probably just use them to go to the park where I don't care what happens to 'em. The laces are just crocheted slip stitches.
This is my first shoe post.  Cheesy

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / How to make the filling in this? Please help! on: December 14, 2006 12:53:38 PM
I need to do a culminating project for english class on the book I read. I read Eragon (great book, i recommend it), and I created an egg as my visual representation for it. I wanted to fill it with something so it could portray a scene in the book. If you've read the part of the battle where the Urgals come and attack Eragon and the Trolls, that's the part. I'm including an example of what I want.

The only problem I have, is what to fill it with?? Maybe plaster,or cardboard. I was thinking sand, even. The trolls will be like little army guys, or If I go to the dollar store, maybe even little figures. I need ideas, what do you think will look good in there? Will it hold?

The egg, by the way, is made out of paper mache and plaster. The arrow has a meaning - all the things Eragon's gone through to get where he is.
