I want to be me again! Is it going to change back at midnight?

Ooh, gorgeous!  Lucky boyfriend!  (I made my boyfriend a carrot cake for his birthday once and spent literally an hour grating carrots.  He loved it.  He'd better.)

Now I want cheesecake.  Sigh....

Yeah, it takes forever to make it from scratch. Especially for me who is inexperienced at baking. I find myself reading and rereading the recipe to make sure I'm doing it right.

I made sure to emphasize the time it took to do to the boyfriend. He hates this picture but...

hehehehe. I think it's cute.

Super delish!  Just an FYI  sometimes white chocolate is sold as Almond Bark.  May make it easier to find when Easter (or rabbit season!) is over! hahaa!  Beautiful cake and I am seriously going to look for those chocolate graham crackers, never seen 'em before.

I think I saw some, but I was like "EW! nuts!" But if it wasn't easter it would probably be my only alternative.

6  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Can't change my avatar? on: March 31, 2010 03:11:22 AM
I've been trying and trying to change my avatar picture to no avail. I don't know maybe it's me? Is there a size limit on avs? Because it doesn't say there is in the edit profile section. I choose 'I will upload my own picture:' and then I hit 'browse' I choose a jpg image that is 152 KB. I click open and it puts the file in the little box. Then I click change profile.

I've also tried this with a .gif file and no change. It's still the same old avatar I've had.

So I tried uploading my image onto flickr and adding the link to the box that says 'I have my own pic:' and it changes, but instead of being the image that I want it's just blank, as though I have no avatar at all.

Help me please! Perhaps I'm an idiot, but I would be grateful to just change the image! Thanks.
7  COOKING / Dessert / White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake from allrecipes.com on: March 31, 2010 02:41:24 AM
For my boyfriend's birthday I asked him what kind of cake he wanted. And he said yellow. :\ SO I pressed him a bit more and he said he liked cheesecake. I thought 'hmmm... I could make a no bake jello cheesecake' but then I thought 'nay, I'm an accomplished artisan and I can do better. It must be from scratch!' Then I thought, 'ugh but I'm lazy...' so I waited until the last minute and had to run around like a crazy person to finish it. But that's how I do most things.

Anyway, here is the delicious delicious recipe:

 http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/White-Chocolate-Raspberry-Cheesecake

So, I thought I would document the whole thing to post on my flickr and on craftser, but then my aforementioned laziness kicked in. So I only got a few snaps in. The finished product:

SO here's the very beginning of my baking escapade. Raspberries (organic, ain't I fancy?) 2 tablespoons sugar, cornstarch, and water pre-boil:

Here they go a'boiling. Look how steamy they're getting. It smelled absolutely delicious:

Then to strain the finished boiled raspberry sauce to remove those pesky seeds. It took FOREVER. I mean painfully forever. I had to stir and stir and push and push it through the strainer. This was about the time I decided that photographing the whole process was a bit much. It was worth it in the end, but geez.

And then a whole bunch of mixing, baking, and refrigerating ensued. After which I used extra raspberries and white chocolate to decorate. It was impossible to find white chocolate at my grocery store so I ended up sacrificing an unwitting Easter bunny. I used a cheese grater on that little white chocolate fellow and made little flakes to adorn the top of the cheesecake, as you can see in the picture here:

Sorry bunny.

The recipe called for chocolate cookie crumbs for the bottom crust, but I used chocolate graham crackers which were mighty tasty.

And there you have it. A tasty treat full of love and sweat... well not literally full of sweat, but you know what I mean.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: From Frumpy Button up to Sexy Summer top on: March 31, 2010 02:03:12 AM
That turned out really cute. Perfect for summer. I think it would look best without the extra tank under it! Cheesy
9  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Re: WoW(World of Warcraft) Swap Angel Needed! on: March 31, 2010 01:52:55 AM
I can do it. I'm not  WOW fan or user, but I am a scifi fantasy geek/illustrator and have plenty of friends who play wow and would help me out.
