i have a euro pro and love it i use a straight stitch 1/8" away from raw edge then another one 1/4" and then zig zag the edges that way the bag has durability. and will last a long time. hmmm im not sure why your machine doesnt go through the layers. has it always done this or is it just recently. you may not be using the right needle either. i change mine every time i sew that way it passes through the material very well and if i do something that has a very heavy feel to it with interfacing added i will use a blue jeans needle and cheap thread does not help. make sure you use a good thread breaking every second you try to sew is just frustration.
my husband has made bikes and saddles can be handmade also but a vintage barbie doll cannot. i think we all need to get together and report this person we dont need etsy turning out like ebay. that is not what this site is about.
really really cute love your version of the hobo very simple. i absolutely love the fabric. i wish i was great with zippers they scare me lol ive sewn for years and tried 2 zippers and both came out like crap. lol. so i put the zippers up till i have a few days or maybe weeks to practice
i used the pattern i made up for my Tess Bags. i sell them in my shop. making another design tommorrow. I saw this paper gift bag at walmart and loved the shape of it so i came home and made a pattern of what i saw its sort of aline shape. will be making several versions of it. the Tess bag is my favorite design as of today it is so versital and useful with all those pockets and fits alot in them. i use a fleece heavy liner so the bags stand up by themselves very well. im thinking about making patterns for my totes. would like some feedback as if anyone would be interested before i put forth the effort and deltails and no one wants to buy them. ive been enjoying all the fun totes lately cant wait for all the holiday festivity and fabrics
