1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / 6 Mini Top Hats (img heavy) on: March 06, 2011 08:42:03 PM
I had an Unbirthday (birthday) Tea Party this weekend and I made a mini top hat for everyone that was attending the week before Grin They're about 4in tall and were all made like their larger counterparts (buckram, wire, mulled and lined) and attached to headbands for the shorter haired girls (one of them has a Miyavi style haircut shaved sides and all) and one with combs. They were all made according to their favorite colors and the yellow one was made to go with a pikachu gijinka cosplay the owner is going to be donning for a convention in about 2 weeks...apologies for some of the mess in the pics they were taken while I was still setting up the table XD

thanks for looking ^_^

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Death the Kid and Tinkerbell on: February 20, 2011 06:26:31 PM
I made these for two of my friends for Christmas and never got around to posting them XD Tinkerbell I'm sure everyone knows, Death the Kid however maybe not so much, he's from an anime called Soul Eater and my one friend is in LOVE with him XD They are made from craft felt and were hand sewed with free hand painted faces and about 6 or 7" tall. I used this pattern here http://babylondonstar.deviantart.com/art/Sit-pdf-103708129 by BabyLondonStar.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Mad Hatter's Top Hat from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (pic heavy) on: February 20, 2011 06:07:06 PM
I've always loved Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter and have always wanted his top hat but never got around to getting one/bothering to make one. Then Tim Burton's Alice came out and I decided I HAD to have the new Mad Hatter's top hat..problem was..I didn't like the mass produced one that came out Undecided so I gathered my supplies and after about a week and a half, and the arrival of my set of 5 licensed hat pins (the only things i couldn't make) I had a Mad Hatter hat. It has a buckram and wire frame covered in brown fake leather type fabric stuff, that has hundred of holes in that I hand punched into the pattern from the original as best I could and some seemingly random gold stitching, the card is just burnt poster board and I wrote the numbers on with sharpie. I made the peacock feather hat pin from a 7" hatpin shank, 2 pieces of felt, embroidery floss, seed beads, some flat back bead type things..and 2 peacock feather tops. I also stitched stars into the lining (which I'm not too happy with but w/e). It's Huge..it doesn't look big on a table..but when i put it on..it's huge...and it's SHORTER than the real one O_O mine is about 10" tall. Anyway enough babbling, on to the pics. Oh and apologies for the picture quality they were taken with my phone so the colors are little off I *swear* that pink fabric is not that...well..pink..lol XD

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Help with a Repo! themed birthday party? on: January 18, 2010 02:54:27 AM
Ok so.. turn 26 in march..and I've decided to have a Repo! The Genetic Opera themed party. The problem is I'm having trouble coming up with ideas for it  Undecided  So far there will be a graveyard cake, possibly a Jello heart, we will be watching the movie of course, there will be music and there will be lots and lots of zydrate blue alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks XD but other than that I am stumped as for what else to do for fun..I really can't think of anything beyond drinking games (yeah I seem to have lost my creativity somewhere)...but I don't want that to be all that we do as there will be some non-drinkers/underagers there too...So I thought I would post here and ask if any of you uber creative people would have any ideas for things to do (games etc) that fit into the whole Repo! theme? Grin
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Xmas Ornaments (Beetlejuice, Doctor Who etc....) on: December 10, 2007 10:01:26 AM
OK so every year my mother buys personalized Xmas ornaments for the family tree. (you know those ones with your name and the year on them?) This year though due to lack of extra money, I made them instead. Two for each person and each having to do with that persons little obsessions in life.

These two are mine Grin Beetlejuice (cartoon version) and the 9th Doctor

a native american girl and boy for mother of mine

Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. for her boyfriend

And monkeys for his son

6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / a cardboard coffin??? on: November 11, 2007 12:00:55 AM
What can you do with a cardboard coffin Huh
I'm in the process of redecorating and i have this big like 6ft black cardboard coffin that i bought a few years ago after halloween, i really can't bring myself to part with it but i would prefer it to be of some use and not just taking up space and gathering dust in my room. I have absolutely no ideas on this a friend suggested something with shelves..but umm like i said it's cardboard so i doubt that could even work lol so anyway enough of my rambling. Thanks in advance for any help and ideas..

oh and here's a pic of it..er well it's a stock image, my camera is dead so ignore the stupid vampire lol

my best friends younger sister asked me to make her a konoha headband for her birthday at the last minute and i didn't have all the material to make her a "realistic" one in time so she told me to knit one lol well i tried it and this is what came out..she was happy at least, had it tied around her head like Kakashi all day ^_^ i can't post pics yet so here's the link..

took me forever to get this pic she doesn't like to have her picture taken, hence the reason she's hiding behind the headband lol
