SlickMariaVic - i believe i used almost 5 balls of SWS...i know i was pretty ticked that i was so close to the end and had to start another ball. (and i did the garter stick for the first stich only and switched to stockinette after, and did the increase right after it - though i made the mistake of doing garter for several rows before i realized my misake and decided that since it was near the bottom i was gonna just leave it 'cause i have a few restarts on it already Sad - so far no one has noticed.)

and great job shawnee66, i want to make one for myself in white once i forget how frustrated i was making the first one.

moneycll - somethig to keep in mind when you get to the ribbing...341 is not divisible by 3   (but 345 is), that would be a mistake in the pattern...though i am sure you will be fine.

I look forward to seeing everyone elses as well!

I used a size 7.5 on the ribbing and middle because i didn't have the right size either.
jane dough - the number of stiches i picked up didn't depend on the needle size since i picked up every available stich there was...and since i used double strand i counted each single stich that had 2 strands as 2 seperate stiches.

shawnee - when it came to increasing i increased using hte extra strand that crossed between 2 purl stiches since it left less of a gap than the way the instructions said to do it - you can see the holes in my ribbing in my pic - every so often i would try their way again and was too frustrated withit to go back and fix it.

hope this makes sense and helps you guys

That is great, thanks for the pattern. I have a few friends who would get a kick out of an apple cozy.

Thanks guys! Bekahzz, I used a 40" size 7.5 for my circular - a bit tight at times, but i suppose it worked out well enough.
And good luck Shawnee, i did the same thing in the beginning (about 4 rows) of mine before i realized it wasn't supposed to be garter. it's one of those patterns...just out to make life difficult.
