1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A seaside purse with a dancing hula skirt and flowing hair w/ wallet on: July 23, 2008 08:15:46 PM
I really adored this bag. It was peachy- or should I say beachy?

The only other picture I took of it.....

It was terribly cute. The mermaid had boobahs hiding under her hair which moved, and the hula dancer's hair moved as well. The waves were this fabulous trim that looked foamy. And I found a couple of fish buttons too. I was quite pleased with the palm tree. I thought it was super cute! I used rick rack to make the mermaids tail.

I made the wallet also. A couple pics of it. It was inspired by a wallet i saved in my favorite projects if you care to see hers. It was just perfect I thought. It was first time doing piping.

The other stuff just happens to be the rest of her package.... It was awesome. Our package never showed up though.... I m actually being angelled for right now for this swap... The super sea swap... anyways enough with my ramblings and thanks for looking!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / An HUGE-O-MUNGOUS Asparus Fairy Poppet named Astrid on: May 05, 2008 09:39:40 AM
Ghilie thank you for this pattern. It is so lovely. your brainchild is amazing!

I sent this poppet to thanate for the fairy tale, fairys and folklore swap.

I think she's so lovely and did not want to send her at all! She is SUPER DUPER sized and made from stretch velvet type stuff. I copied the pattern on wax paper off of my computer monitor turned over and laying down. The result off my 18 monitor was a Huge-o-mongous poppet.

I tried to make her outfit with out drawing the pattern first in the end it wound up a bit off because I was being slap dash i suppose. I mean it looked beautiful but not as straight as I would have liked.

The shoes were a small disaster though. i kept messing them up. I was like they fit leave them alone.

She has real earrings.

The fabric I made the skirt from s SO incredibly great feeling!

And my (failed and wonky) attempt at fairy shoes...the were oh so MEH.

Thanks for checking her out. Ican't wait to make another!

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Boba Fett Helmet...Bag? on: April 17, 2008 06:16:04 AM
My sons school got all crayzazay and decided no one could carry normal bookbags because they got a new principal trying to throw her weight around Angry.
But my wonderful son requested this one of a kind boba fett bag. Which was quite a cool request.

I don't have some fabulous professional camera Sad so you'll have to accept my el-lame-o Sony pics. Embarrassed

Sorry for the glare... I even took it with no flash.

I took some of my denim scraps and I guess quilted them together. I left the edges raw. I love how denim looks when it frays. The black and gold material looked like that when I bought it for a $1 per yard Grin!
Then I used my super crafty glue gun and some silver mylar to make the silver "dents".

Y'all have definitely gotta give me some feedback..not usually my style to ask for it but Jason suggested we post it up. He is so proud!
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / My old bathroom is SO new now Super pic heavy! on: April 14, 2008 09:22:22 PM
When we moved into our house the master bathroom looked like little kids lived in it.... Hippies lived here real ones. And by the age of them they had certainly hugged more trees than I!

the before

this is before I peeled off the awful wallpaper border because I didn't live here yet...lol

these are in the first week we lived here.

Here is when I just painted it brown but before remodeling.

While our bathroom is not complete yet you can most definitely see where were going with it. And you can't see it in the picture but I also painted the entire planter shelf in gold as well. I plan on putting some beautiful ornaments pots and budhas and such up there... I bet you'll never guess the feeling in our house *very sarcastic here*  British India I believe is what it's called.

Almost a little *again heavily laced sarcasm* gaudy huh? I love it!

Please excuse my haze....I've since washed it off!  Roll Eyes

I know it appears to be dark but it is actually REALLY bright and amazingly the color doesn't make it feel small...it's a big bathroom...but it feels cozy at night time....now only if our tub were plumbed in. It is an amazing waterfall faucet.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Inspired by the sea swap...I worked on my little girls room (updated FLOORpics ) on: April 11, 2008 10:03:03 PM

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 3 bags I don't recall posting ever..... on: March 14, 2008 08:24:06 PM
re conned little girl's jeans and handles from a bag from goodwill for $2

This was some extra fabric from some pillows. Not necessarily re conned but it was scrap..... Tongue

re conned from a super sexy gap skirt...too sexy for my 11 year old daughter! What were her friend(and her mom) thinking?? I rescued the majority of the beads off of something.....I can't remember what.

Thanks for checking me out!

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I loved this bag.....but I needed the green on: March 14, 2008 08:16:32 PM

I reinforced it with heavy duty pellon. Super sturdy! Because I really like to try and use all of the denim I even braided up and stitched together the inseams. It was a PAIN to sew through! It had a matching wallet and I can't seem to find a picture though.
Wasn't it cute?
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Hired for a hit, sister on the fray on: March 14, 2008 07:38:26 PM
I went with my sister to the tattoo shop and a chick asked "Where did you get your bag? " She then pointed and said through clenched teeth while in her third straight hour of being tattooed, "She did it" I felt like she was in labor and I was the father...... anyway..... Here are the bags she hired me to make! She loved them. So much She paid me an extra 20 spot! woo-hoo!

This one was for her sister.

This one was for herself.

I did not design them I just went off of the drawings she made for me and made them the best I could.
What do ya think?
